Chapter 225 Two Pieces of Sticky Candy

Samara curled her lips, and the smile on her face was very appropriate. She was nothing but polite.

Chaim looked at Samara in front of him. At a glance, he could see the slight alienation and indifference in her eyes, which were a knife cutting him.

Roland raised his glass and clinked that of Samara. He said, “Ms. Novak, you are stunning tonight.” ConTEent bel0ngs to Nôv(e)lD/rama(.)Org .

Samara smiled, “Thank you.”

Chaim was aside and found the smile on Samara’s face harsh. He clenched his thumb that was pressed against the glass slightly as he tried to say something, but he was never as glib as Roland.

In the end, Chaim said nothing.

Not many people were from the upper class. Naturally, most guests tonight knew each other.

The scene where Roland and Chaim were standing together was already eye–catching enough, not to mention that Samara was standing in front of them. The three caught most people’s attention.

They thought, one is her ex–husband, and the other has been courting her not long ago.

Tsk, tsk. Now that the three are standing together, it seems that we are in for a treat! Maybe we will get to enjoy a great show.

On an occasion like this, once Samara played favoritism to either Roland or Chaim, others would fantasize.

After greeting them, Samara nodded politely and smiled. She glanced at Jimena, who was not far away, and decided to leave Roland and Chaim with Jimena decisively. “Jimena, entertain Mr.

Humphrey and Mr. Garza for me.”

As Samara spoke, she glanced at Roland and Chaim. “Mr. Humphrey, Mr. Garza, excuse me.”

After saying that, Samara turned around and left.

Coincidentally, just as Samara turned around, she saw Gisselle, her father, Sam Pineda, and her mother, Aliya Partridge, enter

the venue.

Samara was glad since their appearances gave her the perfect excuse to leave.

Samara hurriedly greeted them while holding the glass, “Gisselle, Aliya, Sam.”

The Pineda family had always been close to the Novak family, and Samara and Gisselle had been besties since they were little girls. Today was Kadin’s 50th birthday banquet, and of course, Sam and Aliya would be here.

“Samara, you’re so pretty today!”

Aliya was a complete face–judger. She married Sam because he was good–looking.

Samara had been delicate and cute ever since she was a little girl. When she grew up, she became prettier. Gisselle was not exactly ugly, but she wasn’t as attractive as Samara, and the comparison was even greater when they stood together.

Aliya was always happy every time she saw Samara. Back then, she even wanted to trade Gisselle for Samara. Fortunately, Gisselle and Samara were as close as sisters, and Mary was good to Gisselle. Otherwise, Gisselle would have been so depressed.

Aliya said, looking at Samara and smiling.

Gisselle was already used to Aliya being like this, and she couldn’t help but roll her eyes. “Mom, come on. Where are we now? What will others think when they see you staring at Samara like this?”

Aliya snorted, “They can think whatever they want. Samara is pretty, and looking at her puts me in a better mood. It has been a

while since the last time I saw her all dressed up like this. So what if I stare at her?”

Samara felt a bit embarrassed and personally led Aliya and Sam inside. “Aliya, Sam, I’ll take you upstairs to rest for a while. It will be a while before the banquet starts.”

Aliya didn’t want Samara to get too tired. “Samara, you don’t need to lead us. We are close friends, aren’t we? You’ve got a lot

of guests tonight. Go ahead and entertain others.”

As Aliya spoke, she glanced at Gisselle. Then she said, “Don’t just stand there. Give Samara a hand and lead the guests inside.”

Gisselle curled her lips. “I wonder if I’m your biological daughter or not.”

“If you weren’t my biological daughter, I would have starved you to death!”

Aliya controlled the money, leaving Gisselle no room to resist. Instantly, Gisselle compromised.

Seeing the timid look on Gisselle’s face, Samara could not help but click her tongue and grin.

“Is that a smile I see on your face, Samara? Stop laughing at me! If I were you, I’d think of a way to get rid of those two pieces of sticky candy of yours. You know who I am referring to.”

“Sticky candy?”

Samara repeated and said, “That’s quite accurate.”

As she spoke, she snorted and pulled Gisselle over. Then she continued, “As far as I’m concerned, they don’t exist. Come here.

Greet the guests with me.”
