Chapter 298: 298 Puppy-boys and Wolf-boys
"It's impossible for Joann Group to take such a big risk to do such a thing in their warehouse." His tone was steady with firmness. "The annual profit of the airline is much higher than these. If they’re involved, their subordinates should take the responsibility."
"You mean someone used the warehouse for drug smuggling?" Hayden’s frown deepened. "Are they crazy?"
"You just said that the driver mistook the warehouse?" Benjamin suddenly cut in. "Is this the first time the driver has come here?" Hayden was stunned, "It seems like so."
"I have to take it back for testing. Maybe it's not what you think." Benjamin picked up the packet on the tea table. "It's so aboveboard. The driver came here first time, even without a guide. He's too bold." NôvelDrama.Org © 2024.
It was really strange. Hayden and Mr. Burke pondered for a while in the warehouse. But they were not sure if it was what they think, they didn't dare to follow up to see what it was.
They discussed for a long time but didn't get anything done. After seeing Mr. Burke off, Benjamin also said that he would have classes the next morning, so he would go back to school to sleep. Suddenly, the apartment became much more deserted.
Hayden cleared away the cups on the tea table. Just as she was about to wash the cups, Joseph called her, "I'll do it." Then, Joseph took the cream-colored rubber gloves from her hands.
Now that he would do it for her, she did not refuse. She leaned against the marble table top to play the game named Anipop, chatting to him casually. “Benjamin seems to be about to take the final exam these two days. He’s not at home, so I feel very lonely.”
Upon hearing this, Joseph stopped washing the cup, looking at her and asking, “Do you enjoy crowds?” “Yes.” Hayden nodded absent-mindedly, saying, “Who does not like lively life? A lively home is warm
and sweet.”
Joseph nodded thoughtfully. “We’ll have more children after we get married.” He continued to wash the cup.
Hayden was busy with the game. She was stunned while hearing this. She thought that she had misheard, with her fingers subconsciously on the mobile phone screen.
"What did you just say?" she asked. Joseph turned the washed quilt upside down on the drying rack to drip water. “I asked you if you like lively life,” he answered, as he removed the gloves.
"I like it," She answered confusedly. She felt familiar with this question and she was not certain whether she had answered or not. Absorbed in the game, she was basically answering his questions by instinct. The words went in one ear and out the other.
Joseph finished. His cool fingers gently pinched her cheek and lowered his head to kiss her on the forehead. "It's late. Go to bed."
She could not help blushing and walked into the room behind him. In her mind, she always thought that she just heard him say something about marriage.
“All right, I get it. Just make sure the goods are okay.” The valley was deep. On the balcony of the three-storey villa, the voice on the telephone was very clear.
Franklin Hawkins hung up the phone, back to the room from the balcony. Viola Kidman just came out of the shower, sitting in front of the makeup table to slather mud mask.
“Who is it? ”she asked. “Don’t worry about that.”
Franklin stared at her white neck, looking absentminded. "You just need to know that I decide to deal with your enemy according to what you say." "Have you decided?" Viola turned to look at him in
surprise.
"Well, you're right. There's Joseph behind Hayden. She is also not stupid. It's most unlikely to defeat her by ordinary methods, so I have to use some special means."
"What are you going to do?" Viola was uneasy and said, "Or let me do it..."
"I know what you mean. I've arranged it," Franklin interrupted her. He was very confident this time. “It is easy to try to separate them. I can’t see any difficulty in handling things between men and women."
It was late at night. His tone was cold. Viola was disgusted with his disdain for women. But she didn't frown in front of him and even forced a smile.
The next day, at the morning meeting of Downey Group, people discussed the issue of brand spokesperson. The director of the advertising department gave Hayden a long list. "These are all the artists who are ranked by us in terms of cost performance, fan base, reliability and image fit. In general, the top three have little difference, but some difference in strengths and disadvantages in various aspects. Ms. Downey you make a final decision."
"Just do as you say. Now that we have the names, the first place is OK." She had a look and yawned. To be honest, she is not familiar with any of these artists. If Freddie had not gone to Bali for a holiday with Cleveland, she even felt that Freddie was the most qualified person for the spokesperson.
The main products of Downey Group were tourism products. Bentley Downey made his fortune with tourism company at first. In his early years, he had only one bus on hand. Relying on the bus, he started a tourism company and later developed it into a current tourism group.
Three days later, Anna dragged Hayden to the shooting venue to visit. Hayden yawned, reluctantly. “Anna, it is business of the advertising department and they can handle it. Why do you have to take me
here?”
“It’s part of the job. You need to know who the spokesperson is. It will be troublesome if you find it inappropriate after shooting.” “When do you even begin to take care of such trifles?” Hayden gave Anna a glance. “Is there any truth in your words?”
Hearing this, Anna pursed her lips, embarrassed. "The spokesperson appointed by the advertising department is a male model of mixed blood. He is very handsome and well-known in the world. Other colleagues asked me to ask for two autographed photos."
"So handsome?" Hayden didn't agree. "I'm not interested in the new handsome young boys. They just look like that. It's not as good as my..."
"Not as good as what?" Anna quickly grasped the key point of the sentence. Hayden shut up and refused to speak.
"Not as good as your boyfriend." Anna said the latter part of the sentence for her. “Exactly, Mr. Beckham’s temperament is second to none. This kind of celibate and handsome men was popular a few years ago. But recently this kind like Mr. Beckham has not been popular.”
“Really?” Asked Hayden, who felt her aesthetically shocked by the tide.
“What’s the fashion now?” “Pretty young boys and manly young boys.”
