Whispers Of Betrayal (Anastasia and Alastor)

Chapter 138

Chapter 138

In less than ten minutes, Jason arrived.

When Jason spotted Anastasia standing by the roadside, he ran over in a panic before he could even park his scooter properly. He took off his coat while running and covered Anastasia with it. “What… What happened?”

Anastasia smiled and said, “I just fell on the road and was accused of faking an accident, so I called the police.”

Jason heaved a sigh of relief and asked, “Is everything clear now?”

“There are surveillance cameras. There is no way he could frame me.” Anastasia returned Jason’s coat to him. “You will get cold riding the scooter. If I sit in the back, I won’t feel cold.”

Jason stared at Anastasia suspiciously. But he saw that she had been smiling all this time, so he didn’t think much about it anymore. “The next time something like this happens, call me right away,” he said.

“Jason.” Anastasia sat on the scooter and tugged at Jason’s clothes.

Jason turned to check on Anastasia and put the helmet on her head, smiling. “Sit tight. My scooter is going fast.”

Anastasia was amused. “You might get caught if you don’t wear a helmet.”

“I’ll take the alleyway to avoid the traffic police.” Jason accelerated, and the scooter drove off.

Anastasia glanced at the time. “Thirty-five minutes,” she mumbled inwardly.

It had been 35 minutes since Alastor went to send Felicia off.

Jason rode a scooter and arrived in less than ten minutes, while Alastor drove a car but couldn’t make it in 35 minutes during off-peak hours.

Looking up at the night sky, Anastasia tightened her grip on Jason’s clothes.

“Are

you cold?” Jason constantly looked back at Anastasia.

“Focus on driving.” Anastasia knocked Jason on the head.

“Jason, do you like me?” Anastasia asked.

Jason suddenly slammed on the brake and turned his head to look at Anastasia.

“Never mind.” Anastasia smiled. All content is © N0velDrama.Org.

“Anastasia, I don’t like you.” Jason looked at Anastasia very seriously. “I had disliked you since six years ago because you were so nosy. You took me in and protected me recklessly when I was being chased and beaten by those people. I hate you for many things. You only had an egg and a cup of 10- cent hot chocolate for breakfast but kept the pie for me.”

Anastasia didn’t say anything. “So I already annoyed him six years ago,” she thought.

“I hate that you always act on your own, follow your ideas, and speculate what others think at will,” Jason rebuked Anastasia mercilessly.

Anastasia was a little disappointed. It turned out that she was really unlikable.

“But Anastasia, loving someone is not because this person is perfect or has no flaws. Liking someone is not necessarily love, but loving someone means tolerating all shortcomings of that person.” Jason turned around, wondering if Anastasia could understand what he said.

The scooter continued to move forward in the cold wind through the sycamore forest. The withered, yellow leaves were falling and scattering all over the ground.

In the best time of their youth, they missed each other.

Sometimes, once missed, it would be for a lifetime.

“Ah!” Anastasia stretched out both her hands and shouted.

“I am about to die soon. Why should I care so much?” she thought. It seemed she was suddenly enlightened.

“Jason, don’t love me. I’m not worth it.” Anastasia lifted her head and looked at the dark sky.

“Anastasia, don’t be so self-righteous. It’s not up to you whether it’s worth it or not.” After that, Jason brought Anastasia to the night market and bought her mini bagels, cookies, candied nuts, coconut pudding, and fresh coconut juice.

I can’t hold any more food in my hands.” Anastasia was really happy as she smiled brightly and cheerfully.

Iturned out that visiting the night market could also be very fun.

Not far away, Alastor’s car was parked on the side of the road.

Earlier on, when Alastor hurriedly drove back, Anastasia had already gotten on Jason’s scooter and left.

Alastor had been following behind them the whole time, watching Anastasia smile and turn in circles.

After four years of marriage, he had never seen Anastasia so happy.

It seemed that she was really unhappy to be with him.

“Jason! I can’t eat anymore. Stop buying!” Anastasia was laughing as she chased Jason around, nagging him not to buy more food.

Jason was also laughing as he playfully pushed Anastasia along to pay the bill.

Such a scene was something Alastor had never imagined.
