Spending a night with such an excellent man was enough to make most people lose their heads with joy, but Cynthia was not one who dreamt of clinging to the coattails of the wealthy. Therefore, she didn’t take Liam’s words to heart.
She composed herself, tossing the card carelessly onto the bed as she stood to get dressed.
Liam left the hotel and went straight back to the Sullivan residence, where his grandparents, Jasmine and David Sullivan, were waiting for him with some tonic soup ready. Seeing him return, they eagerly served up the soup. “Quick, drink it while it’s hot.”

Jasmine raised an eyebrow. It seemed there was hope, as previously, Liam wouldn’t even acknowledge these sorts of conversations, let alone drink the tonic soup
Cynthia tidied up and went straight back to the Larson residence. She intended to confront her father, but as soon as she reached the doorstep, she got blocked by Roseanne, her sister from her father’s other marriage, and Roseanne’s mother, Felicia.
“Cynthia, where did you go last night? Roseanne leaned against the doorframe with a mocking tone.
Cynthia wasn’t in the mood to deal with them; she was determined to find her father and get some answers. “Where’s Dad?” she asked directly. “Don’t you dare ask about Dad. If it weren’t for you running away last night, would Dad be out there apologizing to others?” Cynthia frowned.
Roseanne continued to chastise her arrogantly. “Dad said you should kneel right here at the doorstep and wait for him to return. If this investment goes south, you’ll have a lot to answer for.
