CHAPTER 1504 GREGORY’S BIOLOGICAL MOTHER
"Let's not think so far ahead. Let me check how Gregory would react to his biological mother before coming to a decision."
This was her way of telling Nicholas not to interfere in this matter.
Although he was worried, he could understand how Tessa was feeling. He wanted to coax her and say that things weren't as complicated as she thought it was, but he did not say anything after noting her serious expression.
Tessa was unaware of the thoughts that were running through his mind.
Once she made up her mind, she immediately had a strong urge to go to the playroom to see Gregory.
With that in mind, she struggled to get away from Nicholas' embrace. "I'm going to see Gregory."
"I'll go with you."
He was still holding onto her tightly.
Tessa did not refuse.
Soon, the two went to the playroom.
Tessa gently pushed open the door, and a hazy yellow bedside lamp shone, casting a warm glow in the room.
She tiptoed into the room and made a beeline to the bed.
Gregory was already sound asleep in his bed. His little face was flushed, probably from the heat.
Tessa's heart immediately softened when she saw this. Memories of the first time she met him flooded her mind, and tears began to glisten in her eyes.
It was no wonder Gregory liked to cling to her.
It turned out that this was all God's plan.
Nicholas sensed that his wife was getting emotional and quietly pulled her into his arms to comfort her.
After a while, he softly said, "Let's rest for now. It's getting late. Don't you still have to send Gregory to school tomorrow?"
Tessa nodded with tears in her eyes. Published by Nôv'elD/rama.Org.
…
The family sat in the dining room early the following day for breakfast.
Tessa's eyes were teary as she stared at Gregory and fed him. "Have some more."
After breakfast, she treated him with more care than before and looked a little panicked.
Her abnormal behavior immediately aroused doubts in Gregory and Gordon.
Nicholas didn't know what to say. He felt that she was being too cautious, which might backfire.
In fact, he was right.
After all, Gregory was very sensitive.
On the way to school, under Tessa's gaze, he finally blurted, "Mommy, what's wrong with you today? Why are you always staring at me like that?"
She was a little lost for words when faced with his genuine concern. She didn't know what to say.
However, she knew she would have to discuss this sooner or later. So, she cleared her throat and asked nervously, "Gregory, what do you think of your mother?"
"My mother is you, and I love you."
As he said that, he reached out to hug her.
She immediately embraced him tightly as an indescribable feeling rose in her heart.
After a while, she pried him off and asked again, "I meant your biological mother, Greg. How do you feel about her?"
As soon as she said this, Gregory froze.
Biological mother?
He frowned, not understanding why she would bring her up.
"I haven't seen her, so I don't know how she is. I don't want to know either."
He shook his head as if thinking of something and hugged Tessa again. "Did that woman show up, Mommy? I don't care. I don't want my biological mother. I just want you."
When Tessa heard those remarks, she could tell that his biological mother somewhat repulsed him. He definitely seemed upset when she brought up the topic, and her heart panged.
Nonetheless, she understood where he came from. So, she quickly hugged him and coaxed gently, "I'm just asking. You don't have to worry, okay?"
Although she tried to disperse his worries, this conversation had been imprinted in Gregory's brain.
Tessa had no clue about this.
After she sent Gregory off to school, she was an utter mess.
As a result, she was in a state of gloom for the entire day.
When Andrew saw the despondent air around her, he assumed that something was bothering her. So, he took the initiative to ask her, "Madam Tessa, did something happen?"
"It's nothing, Andrew. Don't worry," she replied with a forced smile.
