Chapter 54
It’s also possible to think of it as giving each other a chance.
“I vow to you,” he moaned as he pulled her tight.
The door swung open unexpectedly.
Feru stood at the entrance, a little uncomfortable after observing this situation, and softly coughed: “I have some pressing problems to attend to, Boss . ”
Ava was embarrassed and sat up “Then I’ll go to the doctor and inquire about your situation. You two are free to chat.”
Feru stood at the door after Ava left, watching her walk away and closing it only when he was certain she had traveled far enough.
“Boss, Jeorge Milton’s leg…” Feru walked up with a troubled face,
Feru didn’t dare to stare Goden Bran in the eyes because he lifted his eyes and looked him in the eyes.
“What’s the status of his leg?
“I’ve heard that if he’s transported to the military hospital, he’ll be handicapped.”
Goden Bran realized the situation was dire when he heard it.
The Miltons were difficult to irritate, particularly since his existing authority was inadequate to withstand them.
“This problem produced such a large mess,” he moaned, “so you have to take care of those folks.”
“Don’t worry, I won’t let them speak half a word,” Feru said with a nod.
“Then I’ll take care of it first.”
“Wait!
“On the subject of my injury, you…”
Feru had a good understanding of what Goden Bran wanted to know and said, “From the outside, I’ll keep it a secret. Miss Tannu, Aunt, and even the media are unaware of the situation.”
“That’s excellent. Go.”
He was only able to relax after hearing this.
Hospital for the military district.
Jeorge Milton lay on the bed, his face expressionless as he turned his head away from the middle-aged guy who sat erect next him.
“You are free to go. I’m not interested in seeing you.”
Jeorge Milton’s father was a soldier.
His thick eyebrows slightly furrowed as he heard his son’s tone towards him, and he said, as if criticizing a subordinate, “Is this the mindset you should adopt?!”
Jeorge Milton’s countenance darkened even more when he heard that “You’re not going to leave? “I’m leaving!”
He stood up and lifted the cover as he spoke.
He was in so much agony pulling at his leg that he came out in a cold sweat and was unable to get up.
“You can’t move your legs!” Mrs. Ben, the servant at the side, said angrily as she rapidly assisted George in lying down.
“The doctor said the bullet had broken your bones; you can’t move at all anymore, and you could even be handicapped!” Mrs. Ben exclaimed, her heart pounding as she scolded George for his negligence. When they got the news and raced to the hospital, they were terrified to see blood all over his left leg.
Worse, the doctor refused to do the procedure until the injurer’s family completed the paperwork, delaying the optimum moment to operate.
When Jeorge Milton’s grandpa arrived, he was furious to find his grandson in such a condition, and his face became green. If anything happened to him, the dean would most likely be unable to cope with the repercussions!
Mrs. Ben worked for Milton Family since she was a child till she was fifty years old. Jeorge Milton had grown up in front of her eyes.
She didn’t have any children, so she loved and cared for George as if he were her own kid.
“How is it? Is it really painful? Should I get the doctor over to have a look?” she questioned, her heart in her throat as she gazed at his pained countenance.
“I’m alright,”Jeorge Milton shook his head, despite the ache in his leg.
“Humph!”
“Which one of us, the man of Milton Family, was injured by a bullet? If not on the battlefield, he would have to accomplish his mission?” Jonas Milton scoffed cruelly. “Yet, you really managed to produce such confusion!”
Mrs. Ben could no longer stand to listen and urged, “Don’t bring him up anymore; you two, father and son, are the same; it’s been so long since we’ve seen one other, and even when we did, you didn’t say anything kind.
Jeorge Milton ignored him by turning his head to the side.
The only thing he could do was keep his mouth shut!
Those close to him, in his opinion, would never be able to get along with him properly.
From that year on, the so-called father acquired a new name in his heart: he referred to him as ‘that guy’ rather than ‘father.’
“Okay, you’re free to go now..”
JJeorge Milton sat down on the bed once that guy had left.
, “Was there anybody else in the hospital when I was admitted?”
“No, you’re the only one,”
“Isn’t there a single woman?ConTEent bel0ngs to Nôv(e)lD/rama(.)Org .
“Jeorge Milton’s heart was immediately gripped, and he couldn’t remain quiet when he realized she may still be in danger.
Mrs. Ben frowned suspiciously as she saw him so eager “Is she a lady? “Nope.”
“What’s wrong with you, George?”
Jeorge Milton couldn’t wait any longer for news, and when he learned that something had happened to her, he was ready to get up when Mrs. Ben interrupted him, “Hello hey hey, what are you doing?”
“The doctor advised against acting rashly!”
“I can’t remain in the hospital, Mrs. Ben; I have something I need to accomplish.”
“No matter how vital it is, we can’t do anything! If anything is wrong with your leg, I can’t explain it to your grandpa, and are you prepared to become a cripple in the future?”
Mrs. Ben would not let him get up, no matter how critical the situation was.
Jeorge Milton’s heart was pounding like a cat’s claws, and he couldn’t stop himself. He wanted to rush out of his bed just knowing that Ava Lins was still in the hands of the bunch of individuals.
His legs, on the other hand, could not barely stand up.
“If you have any pressing concerns, please allow me to assist you,” Mrs. Ben replied, seeing how worried he was.
“Mrs. Ben, help me locate David,”Jeorge Milton began, since he didn’t want Mrs. Ben to know about Ava Lins condition just now.
Feru carefully maneuvered the vehicle into a rough spot on the mountain road, making sure no one was following behind him, before carrying the box inside the home.
