Alexander was the rumored fearsome, stone cold, Mafia emperor that no one had seen and that was because his identity is being hidden as CEO. Because of so much power he possess just as being a CEO, the governments who were unaware of his identity as the Mafia
king had sought him out countless times to help them handle the underworld sometimes.
"So, tell me why am I still meeting their Chairman?"
No one wanted to answer due to fear of their boss, including the employees who brave earlier to talk. All his bravery had been used up earlier, besides he didn't want to be one to talk again in order to avoid being the first person to receive their boss' terrifying punishment. However, the rest of his colleagues glanced at him, gesturing to him to speak on everyone's behalf. 'What? Isn't once enough?! Why should I be the scapegoat and die for you all?'Upstodatee from Novel(D)ra/m/a.O(r)g
Seeing that no one was willing to speak, Alex made a small gesture to his assistant.
Already knowing what to do, Derek cleared his throat and spoke, "If no one wants to answer Boss's question, then please have all your resignation letters turned in by the end of the day."
Derek glanced at the people and felt pity for them. But who could they blame but themselves.
The boss gave them one job, and yet this one job they couldn't even do.
"Boss, it's not our fault, we tried to terminate the contract with Lexi Corps, but Chairman Roy was persistent in keeping the contract. He said he'll meet you at tonight's social gathering and speak with you for a reason." Finally another male worker spoke with fear. Alex glanced at the man without saying a word.
The man gulped in fear. His boss is known as the scariest man in the business world. Just one look from him could kill a soul!
"Mm." was all Alex said, then he stood from his seat and walked out of the meeting room.
Everyone was confused and scared. Were they losing their jobs? What did the boss mean with 'mm'? All eyes darted to Derek with questioning eyes.
Letting out a deep and long sigh, Derek pinch the space between his brow, already knowing what their stare meant.
"You all should be thankful that one of you spoke. If none of you did, you all would have been jobless." He told them then cleared his throat and continued, "Everyone can head back to their workplaces. Boss will handle the matters involving Lexi Corps." He told them before walking out of the meeting room.
After Derek left, the employees glared at the first that spoke.
"What? Why are you all glaring at me like that?" The man asked cluelessly as to why his colleagues have been glaring at him like that.
"Do you really not know what you did?" Another employee asked but the man shook his head.
"What a clueless idiot you are. We could have all become jobless because of you but thanks to lan over here we can still remain working here."
"I'm starting to question how you got to work here. Don't worry I will make sure I let you lose your job first before you put all of us in trouble."
"I don't know what I would do if my wife finds out that I got fired because my stupid colleague had to say something that vexed our Boss further than he already has."
"Hey, why are you all insulting me? I just thought that we should let him know that he would have to meet Chairman Roy himself since we didn't let assistant Wayne know about it." The man finally caught up with why his colleagues were furious at him and tried to defend himself.
"Would you just shut up that mouth of yours!!!" They sneered angrily at him.
"I'm out of here." One of the employees stood up from her seat and walked out of the meeting room. And just like that the rest also stood up from their seats and walked out as well.
Alex entered his office and sat in his chair as he read some business documents.
A knock resounded at his office door.
"Come in."
"Boss, is there anything you need?" Derek asked.
Alex's eyes remained on the documents in his hand, "Have you found the person?"
Eh? Person? Derek was confused about who Alex was asking about. There are two people that he was currently digging information about for Alex.
"Did you find anything or are you just going to daydream there?"
Breaking his train of thoughts, Derek cleared his throat.
"Boss, we are still unable to find any information about the young woman that saved you three years ago. But we are still trying to find her." Derek finally replied. There was a certain woman that Alex had been looking for the past three years, but Derek and his team were still unable to dig up any information about her.

"What about Roseline Gray? Did you find anything else about her?" Alex asked. After he had encountered Rose at the airport, he was alone in the office when curiosity got the best of him and he opened the pink colored wallet that had fallen off from Rose's bag. There he saw her ID card and that was where he her name. The next day, he ordered Derek to drive and dig out information about her, but he hadn't gotten a report from Derek since then. Besides, he had even forgotten that he gave that task to Derek not until he saw her again at the jewelry shop.
"Nothing else Boss. Except for the fact that she is the first daughter of the Gray family like you already aware of. She has been studying overseas for the past ten years after the death of her mother and the day you met at the airport was the day she returned back to the country. Although, according to what I found about her, she was supposed to return next month but she arrived earlier than planned." Derek dutifully reported.
"Boss, is there something suspicious about her?" He couldn't help but ask because he found it weird that his Boss was suddenly requesting information about Rose.
