Chapter 60
Half an hour later.
Rose had only picked clothes that caught her eyes. All through the entire time Louisa kept briefing Rose about each clothes and their quality but only a few caught Rose's attention. She'd prefer to dress in much more simple dark color clothes rather than those childish
clothes. Might probably be because she was an adult soul in her teenager's body.
Louisa glanced at Rose's calm face and turned to look at the few clothes she had picked in the hand of the two assistants Louisa had called to help Rose hold the clothes. She noticed that all the clothes were either dark colored and white, Louisa wasn't dumb to realize that their customer isn't the type that likes flashy clothes.
"Young Miss, do you perhaps like clothes that are more simple in style like what you are wearing but in darker colors?" Louisa asked Rose with a polite smile on her face.
Rose stared at Louisa before slowly nodding her head at her. "I prefer what you just mentioned. They don't particularly have to be like the one I'm wearing though." She said, "Great, I have the perfect section for you. Please follow me." Louisa said and led Rose to a different section.
Just like Louisa had said, Rose liked the clothes she saw at this section. Without wasting time she started picking out the clothes she fancy the most. A smile graced Louisa's face when she saw the amount of clothes the two assistants were holding had increased. Finally, they were going to make sales and most of all, she had made her customers happy.
A few moments later, Rose was done picking out all the clothes, shoes and bags she wanted. Louisa asked the two assistants to head to the counter while she led Rose back since she could get lost in their boutique.
On her way back, Rose came across a red long dress. She stopped in her pace and stared at the dress which reminded her of her mother just by looking at it.
Louisa, who noticed Rose's gaze, didn't lose the opportunity to sell more markets. "Young Miss, do you like that particular dress? I think it would really look good on you." Louisa said. Though she wasn't lying when she said it would look good on Rose.
"I will take that dress." Rose nodded her head at the dress.
Without wasting time for Rose to change her mind, Louisa quickly picked the clothes. "Is that all, or would you like to check for more?" she asked but Rose shook her head telling them to leave.
They had just taken a few steps away from the section when they both heard a voice that made Rose paused in her step. "Babe, I want the dress that girl in white had taken?" A feminine voice coquettishly said to her boyfriend as she pointed towards where Rose was standing.
The boyfriend sighed and looked at the sales woman attending to them. "Miss, can we get another dress like that for my girlfriend?" He asked.Original from NôvelDrama.Org.
"I'm sorry, Mr. Jones. Unfortunately, that is the last piece of that dress we have. Perhaps, Miss can pick another one." The sales lady replied.
Are you crazy? How dare you say something like that?! I said I want that particular dress. I don't care how you'd get me that dress but you must if you don't want to lose your job." The moment the lady heard the sales lady, she turned and snapped angrily at her. It was obvious that she was a spoiled rich daughter from a wealthy family, given the way she spoke rudely to the sales lady.
"Tegan, take it easy and stop making unnecessary scenes over a dress here. Besides, I asked you to pick the dress earlier but you refused, so why are you causing trouble for the poor sales tady?" Mr. Jones, who heard his girlfriend threaten the sales lady, scolded her. There were a lot of people in the boutique, shopping so he didn't want to cause a scene.
"Babe, how can you take this lowly sales lady's side instead of mine?" Tegan looked at her boyfriend with an offended expression, she was expecting him to take her side even though she made an outrageous request. " You said I should take the dress but I didn't like it then. Now that I do, I must have that dress." She added in a spoiled voice.
The customers who were nearby and heard her couldn't help but glance at Tegan with an irritated expression on their face, but she was oblivious to that.
"What is wrong with that woman?"
"A woman shouldn't possess a personality like this?"
Mr. Jines, who heard the quiet whispers from the customers near them, quickly looked at Tegan. "Stop it Tegan, go and take something else. I promise to take you to another boutique and find the dress you want there." He tried to bribe her by taking her to another boutique since he knew how Tegan loves boutique.
Rose on the other hand, who heard the conversation between the couple, didn't bother to look at them and resumed walking away after she heard what she wanted to hear.
"I don't want to. Since none of you can get me the dress, then I would go get it myself." Tegan stubbornly refused Mr. Jones offered and turned around only to see that Rose was already walking away.
"Hey, you! The lady in white dress, stop right there!" Tegan yelled as she rushed towards Rose. Her yelling in the boutique had quickly garnered the attention of a few more customers in the boutique. "Young Miss, it seems like that lady is calling you." Louisa said besides Rose.
"I know, just ignore her. She is
nothing but trouble, unless your boutique can handle her trouble then stay behind:" Rose calmly replied to Louisa as she continued walking away She knew what Tegan and based on her previous way of speaking, Rose could tell that she is someone that would not let it go if she refused to give the dress to her. It's better to avoid her.
However, trouble like Tegan were inevitable. Just as Rose was walking away, a hand suddenly grabbed her, making her stop in her pace.
