Comeback Of The Adored Heiress

Chapter 1387

Chapter 1387:

On the crisp white page, Nana had divided the space into four sections, each bursting with color.

Carefully, Madisyn studied her daughter’s artwork. The four scenes were different, yet they flowed together like a short comic strip. In the first image, a little girl stood beside an oversized baby stroller, her face lit with a wide, happy smile.

The second showed the girl running hand in hand with a little boy, their joy practically leaping off the page. The third depicted the pair walking to school together…

Recognizing the familiar outfit on the little girl, Madisyn gently ran her fingers through Nana’s soft hair and spoke, her voice laced with curiosity.

“Sweetheart, I can tell this little girl is you, but who’s the boy? Can you tell Mommy?”

Nana’s eyes sparkled as she looked up. “Mommy, that’s my little brother! He lives with us. I’m going to be a good big sister, just like in the pictures!”

Madisyn’s heart melted at her daughter’s pure excitement. She pulled Nana into a soft embrace.

“My baby is so wonderful. In Mommy’s eyes, you’re already the best big sister anyone could ask for. But sweetheart, what if the baby in Mommy’s belly isn’t a little brother? What if it’s a little sister? Would you still feel the same way?”

She worried that Nana had been influenced by others and had become too fixated on having a baby brother. She herself didn’t know the baby’s gender because she and Andrew had decided not to find out before the baby was born.

Nana scrunched up her tiny nose in thought. Until now, she had always assumed the baby was a little brother.

But then she remembered the girls in her kindergarten class and suddenly reconsidered. “If it’s a little sister… I don’t think I can treat her the same way I would a little brother.”noveldrama

When Madisyn heard that, a flicker of concern crossed her face.

The next second, Nana continued with all the seriousness of a child who had just made an important discovery. “Little brothers and little sisters aren’t the same. I have to be extra careful with little sisters so they don’t get upset and cry.”

Madisyn’s heart melted instantly at those words.

The world of children was so simple, so untouched by the worries of adults. While she had been overthinking, Nana had already made up her mind in the purest way possible.

Overcome with affection, Madisyn pulled her daughter close and planted a soft kiss on her cheek. “Nana, you’re an angel. Mommy loves you so much.”

“Nana loves Mommy too.”

With warmth and laughter filling their home, time moved swiftly, bringing Madisyn’s due date closer.

And soon enough, in the midst of eager anticipation, Nana’s little brother, Collier Klein, was born.

Unlike Nana, who had been a quiet and well-behaved baby, Collier came into the world with a spirited energy that kept everyone on their toes. But miraculously, no matter how fussy he was, the moment Nana held him, he would settle down as if he had found his safest place.

Each time it happened, Madisyn would smile in wonder and say, “This is the little brother Nana was waiting for. Collier can already feel how much his sister loves him.”

Time flew by in the blink of an eye. One day, Madisyn and Andrew took Nana and Collier to Klein Manor to visit Damari.
