Despicable Roommate

The future

He entered, pulled me inside the room and shut the door. I was still trying to process what was happening but suddenly he was on me. I was pushed against the door as his mouth crushed to mine. His hands seemed to be everywhere on my body at once. I grabbed his waist and held it tightly because my whole body ached for his closeness. He licked, teased and sucked every part of my mouth then turned to my neck sucking the soft flesh. Desire raced through my whole body and I didn’t want him to stop.

“I’ve been wanting to do this for a very long time,” he pulled away to breath and said with a huskier than normal voice. His intense look was so intimidating but I managed to stare back at him and nod with a small smile. I pulled him back closer because it was so cold and the warmth from his body is all I wanted. I kissed him, my hands moving up his neck to his hair. It felt so good running my hand through it.

The feelings running through my body were frightening as I was led to the couch. We continued making out but I knew it would go too far if I didn’t stop. I was not yet ready for more although Alec was my boyfriend. I wanted to wait until I had figured things out. This was happening so fast and when things went that first, the crash tended to be more disastrous like it had been for my former roommate.

“Alec,” I breathed out when Alec’s lips moved to my neck. He didn’t take heed till I called again.

“Yes,” he stopped.

“We need to rest,” I mumbled.

“Lynn?” he looked confused.

“I’m very exhausted and just wanna sleep,” I complained while trying to shift myself on the couch. I needed time to think and decided if I was making the right decision or not. I think it was the Kari incident making me doubt the legitimacy of what was about to go down. If I messed up, I knew she was going to be the first to laugh.

“Okay,” he said, standing up and smiling a little.

“I’m sorry, Alec.” I stood up.NôvelDrama.Org owns © this.

“It’s fine,” he said, his hand running up my arm and resting on my shoulder. “I don’t want to pressure you into anything. There will be a lot of time later. I want us to do this when you want it with all your heart. It will be amazing.”

“Thanks so much for understanding,” I hugged him. “It’s very hard to find an understanding person like you. If you were someone else, you’d be running off and calling me a prude for wanting to wait.”

“So I’m an endangered species?” he whispered. “Count yourself lucky to have me then, my darling.”

His cockiness brought a smile to my face.

“Still as cocky as ever,” I laughed, almost to myself.

“And still as sweet as ever,” he added.

“True,” I concluded, desperately wanting to get to bed. My day at the beach was so tiring and I was exhausted.

“Have a goodnight Alec.” I said, breaking the embrace.

“I have a feeling you’re going to be the best girlfriend I’ll ever have,” He said, sitting on the couch. I blushed, feeling the heat creeping up.

“That’s right. I’m always the best in everything I do.”

“Yeah right, I was being sarcastic.” He chuckled.

“What?”

“Hey, I’ve never seen a good girlfriend who doesn’t give her amazing boyfriend a goodnight kiss.”

“There’s always a first for everything,” I smirked, crossing my hands on my chest.

“Guess I’m supposed to learn it the hard way then,” he feigned sadness and stood up. “Let me go and rest.”

“Oh, come on,” I smiled. “Anything for my precious boyfriend.”

He pulled me close. “Why don’t we just go to my room?”

I looked into his intense eyes and felt like getting lost in them forever. My right hand disappeared under his shirt and I felt the warmth of his rock hard body. “Why not?”

I needed some high quality sleep, and I knew I would get it with him by my side.

* * *

I loved him. All I wanted was him. Whether I had made the right decision or not, I didn’t care. I was following my heart. I had the chance of getting what I wanted so I had to utilize it. In life we have very few chances to be fully happy.

I don’t understand how I grew from hating Alec to loving him but I’m glad I did. He was so sweet, a little bit of a jerk but that was fine with me. Perfect people are boring.

Besides, no one in this world is perfect. We love people despite the fact that they’re imperfect. We love them for who they are because everyone has their strengths and weaknesses.

During the drive from the beach, Alec had said he was willing to change for me. He didn’t want to play around anymore. He wanted to settle and I was the girl he wanted to be with. He wanted to spend the rest of his life with me.

As I stared at him the next morning, I decided it was time for me to surrender. My core was burning with desire as I trailed a finger over his abs while he slept soundly.

I was not the love struck type of girl who believed everything a boy said. I didn’t believe Alec fully but I had hope that something about him was going to change and better a man with time. Maybe I was being naïve but such is life.

I was ready to take the risk. When you give your heart to someone, they also gain the power to break it. If Alec broke my heart in future, it would be too bad and I would be devastated. But, I wouldn’t be the first to have a broken heart. Many people have gone through that and got over it with time.

But being the optimistic person I am, I didn’t dwell on such negative thoughts for long. I saw a bright future ahead.

It wasn’t going to be smooth but I was prepared to take the risk. I had to live in the moment.

Que sera, sera… Whatever will be will be.

I was ready for it all.

What did the future hold for Alec and I?

Happiness?

Sadness?

Or both?

No one knew.

As the fire in me grew, I couldn’t help but move my legs closer to each other, trying to dull the ache. It just made it worse, and my hand found itself moving lower, then his eyes suddenly opened. He started at me, before his features curved into a sweet smile. His hands moved to touch me where I needed it most and I let him, knowing there was no going back.
