Time went by quickly.

In the blink of an eye, it was the day of Austin's surgery.

Grace looked at Austin lying on the operating bed. She held Austin's hand tightly and kissed it again and again. "Baby, Mommy will wait for you here. In a few days, we can go home."

Austin's dark eyes were suddenly filled with tears. It was unknown if it was because she was afraid or something else.

Brian was on the other side of the bed. He kissed Austin's cheek gently and encouraged her to be strong.

Austin blinked and tried her best to hold back her tears.

The door of the operating theater slowly closed. Brian made a cheering gesture to Austin.

Grace stood outside the operating theater worriedly. She couldn't sit still.

The surgery was very long. Four hours went by. Grace felt as if she had waited for a century.

Grace's heart finally settled back into its original place. It was as if all her strength had been sucked out of her. Her body went limp and she fell into Brian's arms.

She held Brian's hand tightly. "It's alright... Austin is finally alright..."

Grace was so excited that tears fell from her eyes. "Thank you."

Justin stood outside the ward and looked at the family of three inside.

He was like an isolated island. His entire body was enveloped in a lonely aura.

A text message came to his phone, alerting him that the flight was about to take off in two hours.

He looked deeply at Grace. When he saw the smile on her face, the corners of his lips subconsciously curled up.

Then, as if relieved, he turned around and left.

Justin had just hailed a car and was about to get in when a familiar voice suddenly stopped him.

"Justin." Grace ran toward him. "You're going back so soon?"

Justin smiled gently at her. He subconsciously raised his hand and was about to touch the top of her head when he stopped in midair.

Grace had mixed feelings. She felt that she owed Justin too much.

She said, "Justin."

"Hmm?" Justin's gentle gaze landed on her face.
