Fatal Kiss Of The Vampire

Chapter 104: I Will Always Be Here To Protect You

Kylie squinted her eyes and looked again, thinking she must be imagining. Why would Aiden Parker be here of all places? But no. Her eyes were not playing a trick on her. It was indeed Aiden, and as soon as he saw her, he walked over briskly and grabbed her wrist, preventing Kylie from leaving.

Kylie looked at him coldly and pointedly stared at his hand, “Aiden Parker, remove your hand from my arm.”

Aiden’s face was in shock as if she had physically slapped him. Back when Kylie was a lovesick fool falling at Aiden’s feet, she would have never imagined talking to Aiden like that. But now? Now she was a different person, and he had no right to grab her like that without her permission.

“You said you had nothing to do with what happened five years ago. Okay, fine. So tell me, why did you go to the hospital?” Aiden spoke angrily towards Kylie.

His questions made Kylie Finch laugh. She sneered, “That’s why you came all the way? To ask a bunch of shitty questions?”

“Kylie, just answer my God, damn questions. Why are you trying to humiliate me? Can you just listen to me?”

“Listen to you? Why the hell should I listen to you?” Kylie wrenched back her hand from Aiden’s grip. “You didn’t respect me, and you ignored me. You never cared about what I said. Now you want to say something to me? Sorry, I find that hard to believe! You lost your chance, Aiden.”

“Kylie Finch, you were in love with me for five years. You are really going to forget all that time?”

Kylie burst out, laughing at the ridiculousness of his statement. She guessed he had finally realized what kind of person Khloe really was. And now he was here, wallowing in self-pity!

It honestly seemed like a big joke. Kylie smiled and tried to calm herself down.

“Aiden Parker, you don’t exist in my world anymore, so don’t try to impress me now. You are a despicable human being.”

Aiden lunged forward, trying to prevent Kylie from walking away, but the sound of sobs stilled both Kylie and Aiden. Aiden turned towards the source, and his body immediately froze; it was Khloe, leaning against the door, looking as if she had seen a ghost. Her face was pale, and her hair was coarse and frizzy, the exact opposite of what Khloe Finch was.

She stumbled towards them and started crying, “Kylie, I have lost everything. I am begging you. Don’t take Aiden away…I…I’m pregnant.” She was not very loud, but the few people around them could still hear her crying voice.

Kylie stared at Khloe in shock and disbelief, was this supposed to be a joke? Was she supposed to start laughing now? And laugh out loud she did. Kylie was not trying to be a bitch, but Khloe just brought out the worst in her. Every fucking time. When she got a hold of herself, Kylie stood coolly with her hands in her pocket, “It’s not my baby. Why are you telling me?”

“Kylie…” Khloe said weakly. She looked like she had gone through so much. “I know we have animosity between us. I know you don’t want to see me, and I promise you, I won’t show my face to you ever again. I will give you everything you want. But please, for my baby, give back my Aiden. The baby is innocent, no matter what. It needs a father…Kylie, I can do everything you want me to if you can give Aiden back to me.”

Holy shit! Was this really happening? Kylie stared at Khloe with a slack jaw. Everyone else in the coffee shop was now listening wholeheartedly to Khloe’s sob story and looking at her with pity.

“How do you expect me to believe you?” Kylie replied, bitterly, not falling into Khloe’s trap. Kylie knew that Khloe cared about her career far too much to risk getting pregnant, and she knew her too well to know when she was lying.

Before Khloe could reply, the barista walked over to Kylie briskly and spoke harshly, “I think you are causing a scene here and interrupting my work. You need to leave.”

“I’m causing a scene?!” Kylie chortled. “What about that hypocrite who’s telling her pathetic sob story to everyone here? Why don’t you ask her to leave!?”

Kylie did not know who the barista was and why he was so protective over Khloe, but as soon as she said her last statement, he grabbed her arm and started pushing her towards the door.

“Get your fucking hands off me!” Kylie screeched, but the barista tightened his hold on her.

Suddenly, the coffee shop door opened and in walked a tall figure, stomping aggressively on the wooden floor.

“I believe the lady asked you to release her,” he growled in an angry voice to the barista.

Kylie turned her head and saw Ethan walking towards her. His expression was emotionless, but Kylie could see the anger in his eyes.. The cigar on his hands was still burning.

“Lord Ethan?” The barista trembled as he immediately recognized the newcomer. It was a surprise to all to see Lord Ethan Parker at their coffee shop in Saint Martin. Why was he here, and why was he defending Kylie Finch?

“I…I am sorry, Mr. Parker. I was not aware Miss Finch was with you,” the barista replied meekly.

Ethan did not even spare him a second glance but looked at Kylie with concern. He grabbed Kylie’s arm and looked at where the barista had held onto her.

“Don’t ever fucking touch a woman again without her permission,” Ethan quietly but coldly said. He then grabbed Kylie’s hand and walked out of the coffee shop.

When they were alone outside, Ethan hugged Kylie kissing her on the head. “If anyone dares to confront you in the future, you don’t need to put up with it. You can do everything in your power to stop him.”Please check at N/ôvel(D)rama.Org.

“…” Kylie was speechless. She did not respond to him but simply snuggled closer within his embrace. Ethan tightened his arms around her and kissed her gently.

“I will always be here to protect you.”
