"Uncle, did something happen between you and Aunt?" Fiona asked, her curiosity piqued.

"That's grown-up stuff, not for kids to meddle in."

Henrik's usually calm eyes had a hint of frustration. He and Cecelia weren't really fighting. It was more like Cecelia seemed keen on picking fights.

Unlike Flora, who was all about lounging around and getting cozy with Connor, Cecelia was fiercely independent and always seeking security. When they first talked about getting married, she kept dodging him. Connor and Flora already had a kid, but Cecelia wasn't ready to tie the knot with him. She'd always change the subject.

To avoid him, she even took acting gigs out of town. One night, after having a bit too much to drink, he caught her as she was heading to her room.

Fiona chuckled, knowing she was the one who usually had the upper hand. She quickly changed the topic, keeping Henrik from digging deeper. If he did, the whole Louise

kidnapping incident would come to light.

"Uncle, I'm off to the restroom."

With that, she made her swift exit.

Henrik watched her leave, then picked up his phone to make a call. "Can you find out what Miss has been

up to in Cedarvale these past months?"

Fiona slipped out of the private room to head to the restroom. Adam, who was outside for a smoke, caught her in the act!

He darted back into the room and said to Jackson, "Guess who I just saw outside?"
