Chapter 51 A Relaxing Evening
Chapter 51 A Relaxing Evening
At Colin's words, Sophia got confused. She figured Colin didn't want to have a baby with her, so he
shifted Wendy's attention to Levi.
Did Colin dislike children? She loved kids herself. What should she do?
Wendy let out a deep sigh, "You both need to work this out. Colin must have a baby as soon as
possible. And Levi, I'll introduce you to some girls."
After swallowing a piece of pork, Levi said, "No way. There's this girl I like. Don't worry about me. Just
take good care of yourself, and everything will be fine!"
The girl he liked was a college student who was younger than him.
Wendy was thrilled, hearing that her son had a girl he liked, so she couldn't help asking, "Who is she?
What's her name? How old is she? What does she do?"
Levi replied, "Eat first, talk later!"
Wendy stared at him in disappointment.
Although she was at a loss of words, she recovered and joined the conversation again. The family had
a good meal and moved to the living room to chat.
"Go ahead, I have work to do." Colin stood up from the sofa and went upstairs.
Seeing his brother get up, Levi followed, "I'm leaving now, I have to go back to the army."
Levi found Selina updating her Facebook that she and Angela had arrived in A Country. He was going
to seize this chance to see her. Otherwise, it would be a big waste.
"Oh, those brats!" Wendy stared at her retreating sons in a sulk. Having sons was irritating! Why
couldn't she have had a daughter? Daughters were better.
"Mom, they're busy. But that's alright, I'll stay with you." Sophia peeled an orange before giving it to
Wendy.
Wendy took the orange with a sigh, "I don't depend my sons anymore. Sophia, let's take care of each
other."
Sophia laughed, "Mom, you can live with me, but dad would definitely say no!"
Jordan nodded in agreement.
Halfway up the stairs, Colin was little shocked to hear Sophia laughing.
He rarely saw Sophia so happy. Whenever she was with him, she would lose her temper, cry, and
sometimes smile, but she would never laugh out loud like this.
It seemed his mom and his wife got along well with each other…
"Sophia!" Suddenly, Colin called out the woman who was enjoying her fruit.
"Hm?" Swallowing the longan, Sophia looked up at the man standing on the steps.
"Bring me some fruit."
Sophia stared at him. She was speechless. She remembered he already had some fruit earlier. "Okay!"
Sophia stood up, but Wendy held her by the wrist. "You don't have to do it yourself. Mrs. Lyu can do it."
Wendy wanted to talk more with Sophia!
At his mother's words, Colin looked at Sophia with dissatisfaction. Noticing this, Sophia hurried to say,
"Mom, it's fine. I'll be back soon."
Sophia rarely had the chance to do something for Colin, and she didn't want to miss it.
She stood up and walked to the kitchen. Taking out some fresh fruit, she peeled and cut them into
pieces before put them randomly in a bowl.
Sophia dropped by the table before leaving the kitchen. She arranged the fruit neatly and took the plate
upstairs.
"Hello!" Sophia knocked on the bedroom door as she always did.
From the inside, she heard Colin say, "You don't need to knock in your own home."
Sophia was speechless. She opened the door and found Colin in a white shirt, holding a laptop and
checking his email on the sofa.
She carefully put down the plate on the table in front of him, "Here's your fruit."
He didn't respond.
Sophia wondered if he didn't hear her. She raised her voice a bit, "Here's your fruit!"
He kept silent.
Now Sophia knew he was doing it on purpose. He probably didn't want to talk to her.
Heartbroken, she moved to leave when she heard him say, "Did I say you could go?" His voice behind
her came out cold.
Sophia stopped in her tracks, turning to him in confusion. He didn't say she could leave, but he didn't
ask her to stay either. He didn't respond to her at all. He had completely ignored her. Why would she
stay? To let him insult her further? Text property © Nôvel(D)ra/ma.Org.
But she did have something to tell him. "Colin, Thank you for everything you did for my father. If there's
anything you need, please don't hesitate to tell me."
Colin tapped his forefinger on the keyboard without looking up, "Alright, I need your help now."
"Okay!"
"Eat."
Sophia didn't understand what he meant, "Huh?"
"Eat!"
She stared at him in silence. Didn't he want some fruit? There were a lot of apples on the plate. "Um...
Do you want to share?"
Colin frowned in distaste. "I'm not sharing with you!"
His words broke her heart. He obviously didn't like her.
Realizing he went too far, Colin took the fork and divided the fruit into two.
"I'll eat the apples. You eat the dragon fruit, oranges, and bananas."
"Okay!" Sophia answered happily. She didn't like apples.
She took the fork from him before eating the dragon fruit.
After typing for a long time, Colin said, "Feed me."
Sophia stared at him.
She wanted to refuse, but she didn't dare offend Colin. Piercing a piece of apple with the fork, she
moved it to his lips, "Open up"
Colin ate the apple.
Feeling full, Sophia couldn't eat anymore. She continued to feed Colin, feeding him fruit one by one.
It was quiet in the bedroom, and they ate the fruit peacefully. When Colin swallowed the last piece of
apple, Sophia got anxious. She was too full to eat anymore. Although she knew Colin didn't like dragon
fruit or oranges, she tried to feed them to him.
"Colin."
"Yes?" He answered without moving his eyes from the screen.
Sophia forked a piece of dragon fruit into his mouth without hesitation, and he swallowed.
Colin knew what she was doing. He didn't want her to catch on, so he kept eating.
Sophia took the empty plate and stood up, ready to go downstairs.
"Done?" Colin asked.
"Yes!"
"Why you feed me the rest?"
"Well… Um... I thought you liked them!" Sophia was a terrible liar. She looked away as she spoke.
Colin raised his eyebrow and bluntly said, "You didn't want to eat them, so you fed them to me."
Colin saw through her. Sophia turned red. Without replying, she fled from the room nervously.
Behind her, Colin looked at the laptop with amusement in his eyes.
Everyone downstairs was ready to leave when Sophia went down with the empty plate. Holding Angie,
Wendy said with a smile, "I thought you had gone to sleep!"
Sophia blushed, "No, I just waited for Colin to finish before coming down."
Everyone could see that Wendy's words made her shy. It seemed the couple got along well, and
everyone was happy about it.
"Well, go ahead!" Wendy helped Angie as she went upstairs, while Jordan helped Harold.
