Chapter 910 Special Pastries
Chapter 910 Special Pastries
Winnie walked to the door before she could open it, and the bodyguard came in.
"Is there something wrong, Director Chambers? Mr. Bennet has instructed not to let you out until he
returns."
The bodyguard was just doing what Brian had told him to do.
"Where did your Mr. Bennet go?"
It was a little difficult for Winnie to say those few words, but she said it out anyway.
"Mr. Bennet said he'd go home to drop the kids and the kid's aunt off at school and come right back
afterwards."
"Mr. Bennet also said that he'll let the nurse come over to give you the infusion when you wake up.
Director Chambers, go wait on the bed, I'll go get the nurse."
The bodyguard was very dedicated to the task that Brian had left for him.
"Okay."
Winnie returned to go.
Walking over to the bed and picked up her phone to call Brian, the call was soon answered.
"Don't come over, I can be fine alone in the hospital."
It was a great effort to say the words, but a few words were enough to make Brian happy.
"It's great that you are able to talk."
Brian's attention was not on Winnie's words, but on her condition.
"Drop the kids off and go to work, don't come to the hospital."
Winnie repeated it again, afraid that she was wasting Brian's time.
Brian made money according to time. Not to mention a day, even a delay of an hour Winnie could not
afford to pay.
However, as Winnie's words fell, Brian had already pushed the door in, carrying breakfast in his hand.
"I don't have to go to work today, I have Albert and Calvin at work, don't worry about it. Consider this an
opportunity to give myself a vacation."
He said and walked over to Winnie.
"Go wash your hands and get ready for breakfast."
Brian put breakfast on the dining room table.
Although he didn't know what Winnie could eat, he bought a lot of categories of breakfast.
When Winnie returned from washing her hands, breakfast was all set up.
"There's too much to eat, so I'll just have the porridge. Save some for the bodyguard outside."
Winnie spoke hoarsely, but still thought about the bodyguards outside. She was so kind to anyone,
which was most worthy of learning to Brian.
"I've sent them to have breakfast, and they don't have to keep watch when I come back."
"Sit down and eat your breakfast."
After Brian finished speaking, he pulled Winnie to sit down, and the clear porridge was placed in front
of Winnie, followed by a pastry being sent over.
"Have some of this too."
Brian didn't open it but let Winnie do it herself.
Winnie didn't think much of it and started eating the porridge, she was thankful to be able to eat it in, as
for the pastries, she wasn't interested at all.
"Why don't you eat the pastry? A bite will do."
Brian reminded, and Winnie was too embarrassed to refuse, so she put down her bowl and went to
open the box of pastries.
The moment she opened the pastry box, Winnie's eyes lit up.
The pastry turned out to be with a very cute tomcat pattern.
"Where do you buy them?"
Winnie's voice even became high-pitched because of the surprise.
"Custom made, anything you want, it can be made."
"Like it?"
Brian replied with a sense of accomplishment, as long as Winnie liked it, not to mention customizing it,
he could even learn how to make it himself. Upstodatee from Novel(D)ra/m/a.O(r)g
"Yes, it's so cute."
Winnie's face revealed a smile with pleasure.
"You heard me talking to Daenerys yesterday?"
Winnie remembered the reason, otherwise Brian would not have known that she liked tomcats.
"Yeah, so I know you like tomcats."
"Eat, the nurse is coming over for an infusion later."
Brian urged, buying the dessert for Winnie to eat was not to make her admire.
From Winnie and Daenerys’ conversation yesterday, he heard Winnie was looking for a tomcat
patterned suitcase. As for how important this suitcase was to Winnie, he did not know about it.
"It's too cute to eat, and it's okay for me just to watch."
Winnie liked it so much that she didn't even dare to touch the pastry, she just wanted to look at it quietly
like this.
"It will go bad even if you look at it, eat it."
"Come on, just pick it up and bite it."
Brian knew that Winnie loved it, so he helped pick up the pastry and handed it to Winnie's mouth.
"How cruel, Tom, don't blame me, I'll miss you."
Winnie murmured before biting down with her eyes closed.
At her cute look, Brian had mixed feelings. It turned out that she had a childish side, it turned out that
she was just a little girl. It was just that the experience had erased the innocent liveliness she should
have had, forcing her to grow up to be the head of a family.
"Is it good?"
Brian asked in a warm voice.
"Yes."
Winnie gave a one-word answer because she was chewing on a pastry.
With the cream still stuck to the corner of her mouth, her first reaction was not to wipe it off with tissue
but to instinctively lick it with her tongue. But who knew that the cream was very naughty, the more she
tried to lick it clean, the more the cream receded backwards. It receded to a point where Winnie
couldn't reach it.
There was nothing left for her to do but to wipe it with a napkin.
Just as she picked up her napkin, Brian suddenly approached quickly. The cream that was stuck to the
corner of her mouth before she could react had already been eaten by Brian.
Winnie froze and looked at Brian, her heart beating like a panic when she was in love, but she and
Brian were not a relationship that could show love like this.
Awkwardly, she withdrew her eyes, but she didn't know what to say. Since she didn't know what to say,
she didn't say anything, so she just buried her head and ate.
Winnie was thinking, if they were a couple, if they were lovers, maybe this action of Brian would be
exceptionally sweet. Unfortunately, they were not.
"Take another bite."
Brian was happy, and as long as Winnie didn't scold him.
"I'll do it myself."
The dessert was delicious, plus the mood was good, Winnie wanted to eat two more bites. But she
could not let Brian feed her anymore.
Brian smiled, knowing why Winnie wanted to do it by herself.
"Why do you like tomcats?"
Brian asked as he ate, a topic that would surely shift Winnie's mood.
"Well ...... because he's poorly always being molested by Jerry, but in many episodes he never got
Jerry, I think it's a pretty pathetic cat."
The reason was so simple, pitying the tomcat because of her kind heart.
But the tomcat had been abandoned by Winnie for years, and the misery fate had overwhelmed her
into forgetting that she still had her preferences.
"It's kind of pathetic, but you like it with a very specific reason."
Brian laughed again, thinking of a variety of possibilities, but did not expect to be this reason.
"Do you collect everything about him, suitcase, muppets, the mouse pads, and even ......"
"Clothes, I don't know how I got so obsessed with tomcats, maybe I'm in love with him."
As long as she saw things related to tomcat, she would buy it.
Winnie was indeed in a much better mood and unknowingly spoke more.
"I remember a hoodie I loved but unfortunately didn't have a tomcat, I didn't want to give up the hoodie
and I super love cats, so to make them both perfect, I actually went nuts and taught myself embroidery
and then embroidered the tomcat on the hood of the hoodie."
Speaking of this, Winnie cleared her throat, after all, her voice had not yet healed, and her speech was
hoarse.
"I'm not sure how I like tomcats so much to ......"
Winnie was still continuing to talk, talking happily and excitedly. But Brian, from the time he heard the
tomcat embroidered on the hoodie, he had a vague headache, followed by some past images
appearing in his mind.
He didn't hear Winnie's next words clearly, as his head was getting more and more confused by the
growing pain.
"Tomcats were everywhere in my life at that time anyway, and Daenerys called me a cat person."
Winnie finished the sentence before she raised her eyes to look at Brian, and only then did she see
that he was not right.
"What's the matter?"
Winnie was uncertain, seeing that his face twisted in pain.
"Nothing, I suddenly have a headache."
Brian spoke blandly, but it was obvious that he was holding on hard.
"You haven't had a drink, why do you have a headache?"
Winnie still didn't understand, but put down her cutlery after those words.
"Go lie down on the bed and I'll try to give you a massage, and if it's any worse, call the doctor."
Winnie thought Brian's headache was the same as before and thought he would be fine after massage.
But Brian knew that it was different from the past and Winnie was helpless about it.
"It's okay, it'll be over in a minute, I can hold it."
Brian said and stood up quickly, not sure if he got up too fast, but in any case his head hurt more.
He frowned, clenching his teeth, but he couldn't help it. He was afraid that Winnie would be worried and
that she would be scared, so he endured the pain and quickly went to the bathroom.
As soon as the bathroom door closed, Brian was assaulted by a sharp pain. It hurt so much that he
clutched his head and leaned against the door panel and sat backwards on the floor.
At the same time his memory swung back the girl who had left in the car accident abroad. This time
Brian saw it clearly, although it was still just her back, he would clearly look at her walking posture, her
height and body proportions.
It was impossible to conclude who it was, but at least he knew if it matched Wendy's back.
Brian saw it, and by the time his attention shifted to the clothes, the girl had drifted away and had
blurred.
But unexpectedly Brian saw something that he hadn't even seen before, and that was an icon on the
hoodie. Brian tried to see the ion, but he had slowly walked out of his memory.
Brian was gasping for air from the headache, as it faded away, his headache was slowly diminishing,
and it didn't stop until the memory was gone.
"How are you doing?"
Winnie's hoarse and low voice came from outside the door, but there was worry in her voice.
Brian hurriedly got up to straighten his dress.
