Tessa reminded Jasmine, "Make sure to test for the formaldehyde levels in the apartment this time before you sign the lease. Don't fall for another trap like you did with your last place."

She looked at Molly and continued, "You too. Make sure to take note of this. Lucas' younger sister developed leukemia because they were living in an unsafe and shabby apartment. Lucas was just lucky to have avoided it himself."

Molly nodded. "Okay, I'll be sure to remember that."

She was still wearing a disappointed expression. She said to Jasmine, "I still don't agree with you moving in with your boyfriend this early in your relationship."

"You don't have to worry, Molly. In fact, Tessa has met my boyfriend! She even helped him out in the past. You can ask her yourself. Isn't Lucas a wonderful man, Tessa?"

Tessa nodded. "I do know him. When his sister was battling leukemia, I found a suitable bone marrow donor for her. I have to say that he truly is a good man. He's always striving to improve himself, and he's not afraid to work hard. He also treats everyone with genuine kindness."

Molly sighed deeply. "Well, whatever! It's just a suggestion. In the end, it's up to you if you want to listen to me or not. Of course, I hope that you will have a loving relationship with your boyfriend and that the two of you will be happy together forever."

Jasmine lifted her wine glass. "I know that you're just looking out for me, Molly. Here, a toast to you!"

"Cheers!"

Tessa smiled. "Don't forget to invite us to your wedding when you get married."

"Of course!" Jasmine shot her a smile of her own.

"Introduce us to your boyfriend one day," Molly chimed in.noveldrama

"I will!"

Their dinner lasted for more than an hour. By the time they finished their meal, Jasmine and Molly felt stuffed. Molly had downed quite a few glasses of beer, so she was a little intoxicated when she asked. Jasmine, "Why isn't your boyfriend coming to pick you up?"

Jasmine answered her with a smile. "He's working overtime to earn more money."

"That's acceptable, I suppose." Molly grabbed her phone to call a cab.

Tessa stopped her before she could complete the order. "No need to call a cab. I'l send both of you home. I'll be worried if you take a cab home by yourself, considering how drunk you are right now."

Jasmine's current apartment was near Shelton Law Firm, which was around six miles away from where they were. On the other hand, Molly lived near Everbright Law Group, which was only a mile away.

Tessa helped Molly into her car. She then turned to Jasmine and said, "Get in, Jasmine. I'll send you home too."

"Okay. Thank you, Tessa." Jasmine pulled the door open and slipped into the car. "I get to ride in Tessa's fancy car again," she said, letting out a giggle.

Wynn was the designated driver while Jasmine sat in the passenger seat next to her. Meanwhile, Tessa and Molly were in the backseat, with Tessa supporting Molly.

After dropping off both Jasmine and Molly, Tessa asked Wynn to drive her to her private villa. She had recently bought a two-story villa in an affident area near Shelton Law Firm. Her new home was very close to her law firm, which made it incredibly convenient for her when she needed to commute to work.

She lived in the villa with Wynn, which made it easier for Wynn to protect her if the situation called for it. When the white Rolls-Royce slowed to a stop at a red light, Tessa looked out of the window absentmindedly. It was then that - she spotted a familiar silhouette.

Tessa rolled down her window and squinted at the entrance of the bar. In the next moment, she exclaimed in a panicked voice, "Wynn, find a place to stop the car! Hurry!"
