Chapter 68 I Was Invited
Chapter 68 I Was Invited
When Shelly walked past Atlas with Gavin and the others, she smiled, "Atlas, let's go together!"
Atlas said nothing and looked at Shelly indifferently.
Shelly was frightened by Atlas' gaze. She quickly walked forward.
Viviana and the others passed by Atlas with cold faces and did not even look at him.
Only Evelyn smiled at Atlas when they were not paying attention.
Atlas nodded in response, and then followed Viviana to the gate of DH Century Mall.
In front of him, a man in his fifties, with a beautiful woman in her early thirties, handed the invitation to
the security guard at the door.
The security guard immediately saluted respectfully and let them go.
It was Atlas' turn. Shelly quickly walked to the security guard and said something. Then the security
guard looked back and found that there was no one behind him. He quickly waved his hand to Shelly
and motioned for her to hurry in.
Atlas followed Shelly and the team into DH Century Mall.
After entering the bathroom, Shelly suddenly pulled Viviana's hand and said anxiously, "Viviana, I want
to go to the bathroom. Come with me!"
"Okay." Viviana nodded.
Shelly shouted at Tobias and the others, "You go up first. Let's meet at the Emerald Pavilion!"
As she spoke, she winked at them.
"Okay, gather at the Emerald Pavilion!" Joseph said with a smile.
After Shelly left, Joseph glanced at Atlas with a sinister grin.
"Evelyn, Mr. Morrison, let's go upstairs and have a look first!" Joseph said.
"Okay." Tobias nodded.
When they were about to leave, Evelyn suddenly looked at Atlas, who was standing alone in the hall.
She could not help but say, "Atlas, why don't you come with us?"
Joseph frowned. His face instantly turned gloomy as he suppressed his anger. With a wicked smile, he
said, "Evelyn, why do I feel like that you care a lot about Atlas?"
"Of course not. Since everyone is here, we should go together!" Evelyn managed a guilty smile.
Atlas said flatly, "No need. I'm not tired of looking at you guys."
Joseph, Tobias, and Gavin looked angry.
"This boy, we haven't said that we dislike him yet, but he said he hated us first!" Joseph snapped.
"Leave him alone. I'll teach him a lesson later!" Gavin snickered.
Tobias only said, "Let's go!"
After Joseph and the others left, only Atlas stood alone in the empty hall.
Atlas took out his mobile phone and called Seamus.
"Mr. Lincoln, are you here?" At the other end of the phone came Seamus' deliberately hushed voice.
"I'm in the hall on the first floor. Where are you?"
"Mr. Lincoln, please wait a moment. I'm accompanying Mr. Shaw to meet several distinguished guests.
I'll pick you up in five minutes!"
"Okay." Atlas hung up.
On the top floor of DH Century Mall, Shelly, Viviana, Joseph, and the others gathered together and
secretly observed Atlas by the guardrail.
"Shelly, have you talked to your uncle who is in charge?" Joseph asked.
"Don't worry, let's just wait and see. This time, we will definitely drive this annoying guy away!" Shelly
said with a confident smile.
Atlas waited quietly in the hall. Suddenly, several uniformed security guards rushed out of the stairwell
with batons and surrounded Atlas.
A man in a black suit with an excessively pale face walked out of the elevator.
"Mr. Gerrard, is it this boy?" When Mr. Johnson heard the director Mr. Gerrard said a thief broke in, he
was surprised and furious. If something went wrong with the security today, he would be doomed.
Therefore, Mr. Johnson personally led the team and locked down on Atlas according to the information
described by Mr. Gerrard.
At that time, Atlas was alone in the hall.
The pale-faced man yelled, "It's him!"
Mr. Johnson immediately shouted, "Boy, how dare you come here to steal things!"
Mr. Johnson was furious when he thought that all his efforts today would be in vain and he would even
lose his job because of a thief.
On the top floor, Shelly suddenly said with a smirk, "The show is about to begin. Who wants to go down
with me?"
Joseph chuckled. "I definitely can't miss such a good show."
Gavin chuckled. "Of course I can't miss it."
Viviana was silent, but her beautiful eyes revealed a hint of expectation. It seemed that she was very
happy to see Atlas get embarrassed. Content © copyrighted by NôvelDrama.Org.
Evelyn was the only one who immediately realized that Shelly, Joseph, and the others had plotted on
how to frame Atlas.
"You've gone too far! No matter what, it's all thanks to Atlas that we were able to resolve the crisis last
time! Is this how you're gonna thank him?"
Evelyn scowled at them and turned in a dash to the elevator.
"Evelyn!" Shelly stamped her feet and yelled, "What are you waiting for? Go after her!"
They followed Evelyn into the elevator.
In the hall on the first floor, Atlas quietly looked at Mr. Gerrard with a sneer and said lightly, "I am not a
thief. You've mistaken me for someone else."
Mr. Gerrard sneered and said, "You don't have to argue. I received a report from someone to prove that
you sneaked in this place to steal things!"
"As I said, I'm not a thief. I was invited here." Atlas repeated.
Mr. Johnson looked at Atlas calmly. He didn't look like a thief who had been caught. Could it be that he
was really invited by someone else?
"You said you were invited, so do you have an invitation?" Mr. Johnson asked seriously.
Atlas said lightly, "No."
He had also made up his mind on the spur of the moment. Seamus had no time to send him an
invitation.
The security guard's grand action attracted a lot of people. Many guests stopped to watch and pointed
at Atlas.
Mr. Gerrard laughed disdainfully and shouted to the crowd, "Boy, you said you were invited, but you
can't take out the invitation. Who can prove that you didn't sneak in to steal things?"
Atlas wore ordinary clothes. Although he was good-looking, he did not dress up deliberately. He didn't
stand out in the crowd, just like a country bumpkin who entered the city for the first time.
The people who came here today were all top figures in Waymouth and Tsinchow. Their gazes were
vicious and they could tell Atlas' family background from his attire at a glance.
People like Atlas were not among the invited at all.
They wouldn't believe that Atlas was not a thief.
"Don't talk nonsense with this little bastard. Hurry up and drive him out!" Someone shouted impatiently.
"Yes, throw him out. It's best to give him to the police and teach him a lesson!"
Mr. Gerrard raised his hand , "Don't worry. I'll get someone to take him out!"
"Mr. Johnson, drive him away!"
"Yes!" Mr. Johnson nodded and waved to the security guards. "Get him out!"
"Wait a minute!"
At this moment, a beautiful girl in a plain white dress with shoulder-length hair rushed out of the
elevator.
"I can prove that he is not a thief!"
Evelyn's yelled with ragged breath as she ran over and stood in front of Atlas.
Seeing such a beautiful girl stand up for Atlas, some men around looked at her with pity.
"Evelyn, what are you doing! Come here!" Shelly and the others, who had rushed over, stood together
with the onlookers and shouted at Evelyn anxiously.
