Living With My Lady Boss

Chapter 2295

Wilbur was about to head to the inner city area to investigate the whereabouts of the dragon cauldron fragment when his phone rang. It was a call from Arsi.

"Hello, Arsi. What's up?" Wilbur answered.

"Mister Wilbur, I've been thinking... maybe you're right. I shouldn't be a coward. So, I've decided to join you. I'm wondering if you are still willing to help us..." Arsi's voice came through the line.

A slight smile appeared on Wilbur's face. Arsi truly was a man of integrity, willing to shoulder some responsibility. Though his call came a bit late, the fact that he took this step proved he was already ahead of most people.

Since the Night Demon issue had been completely resolved and there was no more danger, Wilbur thought it would be good to take Arsi along and give him some experience. Nodding, Wilbur replied, "Of course! I'm willing. Come now and join me. I'm heading to a place."

"Right now? Where to?" Arsi asked, sounding slightly hesitant.

"To Bangsai," Wilbur responded.noveldrama

"Bangsai? Okay, I'll be there right away!"

Arsi agreed after a moment's hesitation.

After hanging up, Wilbur stood at the hotel entrance and waited for about five minutes. Arsi arrived on a motorcycle, stopping at the hotel's entrance. "Hop on, Mister Wilbur," he said.

"Alright," Wilbur acknowledged as he got on the bike. Arsi then drove them to Bangsai.

Diseya, where they were, had a population of ten thousand and had grown to the size of a small city. Bangsai was an inner village of this city. Once they reached Bangsai, Arsi stopped the motorcycle and said, "Sorry, Mister Wilbur, from here on, we have to go on foot."

"On foot? Why?" Wilbur asked, curious.

Arsi explained, "Bangsai is the oldest part of Diseya and the birthplace of the town. Even though it's just a small village now, it's home to the Jeemir family, the oldest and most respected family in Disaya. They have a tradition that regardless of how much the place develops, anyone entering the village, whether a local or an outsider, must go on foot."

Hearing this, Wilbur smiled. Since Bangsai had its customs, it seemed right to respect them. Following the local traditions did not seem like a bad idea. So, Wilbur followed Arsi on foot as they headed into the village.

Along the way, Arsi greeted several familiar faces. As they walked deeper into the village, Arsi asked, "Mister Wilbur, what brings us to Bangsai? Are we looking for the Night Demons here? Bangsai is the most mysterious place in Diseya, so I hope you won't accuse anyone without solid evidence."

"Of course not. I'm actually not here to find the Night Demons," Wilbur assured him.

"Not for the Night Demons? Then what for?"
