"They're all problematic, Ariel and the rest."

"How so?"

"Just stay behind me later. Don't get too close to them."

"Got it."

Arsi hung up the call impatiently. He was of the opinion that he could surpass Wilbur and be first with no problem, but now Wilbur was standing in the way of that on purpose, as well as pressuring him with the Night Demon.

The thought made Arsi curse internally. Yet he had indeed encountered the Night Demons before, and that whole ordeal had not been properly settled yet. Wilbur's guess might be possible, and Arsi slowed down on purpose at the thought.

Wilbur saw Arsi slowing down and did the same. After driving for a while, there was a loud popping sound, and the entire town was plunged into darkness.

"Didn't you say you checked the cables, Arsi?"

"I didn't think something like this would happen. Someone must've cut the power supply outside."

"What should we do now?"

"Mister Penn, we have to get back to the parking lot right now. That's where all the town's switchboard is."

"Alright, got it."

Wilbur drove in the front, leading the way. It was not long before the two of them returned to the parking lot. Under the illumination of the car's headlights, Wilbur saw one of the Coyote Racers, Tolles pressed on top of a girl as he bit her neck.

Arsi had just come out of his car and witnessed the act as well. Both he and Wilbur watched as blood trickled out of the girl's neck. It was definitely more than just intimacy.

"Mister Penn..."

Arsi turned to look at Wilbur, who flung the car door open and got out at top speed. He grabbed the Coyote Racer behind Arsi, lifting him into the air.

The member struggled with all his might, glowering at Wilbur as if he wanted nothing more than to maul Wilbur to death. Wilbur tossed him away, casting a light spell. A ball of white light appeared at once, lighting up the space around it.

The Coyote Racers turned away at the sight of the ball of light, not daring to get any closer. Wilbur asked Arsi, "Where's the electric switchboard?"

Arsi snapped out of his stupor, running into the house and turning the switchboard on. At once, all of Diseya lit up.

Arsi sat in the office, turning on the broadcast microphone. "Listen up, townsfolk of Diseya. The Night Demons might show up tonight. Please keep all your lights on and keep each other safe."

Tolles glowered at Wilbur. "You're going to die for ruining General Victor's plan!'

"Victor?"

Wilbur looked at Tolles. "So, you guys were sent by Victor, eh?"
