Love beyond the mask (Whitney)

Chapter 1068

She couldn't quite figure out if it was Ludwik who had sent someone to kill her, or if tonight's dramatic danger had another hidden agenda.

Parisa finally nodded, "Mr. Lutz, thanks for tonight, I guess."

"No need to thank me. Florence is a good friend, and she's had a rough time before, so I've helped her out a few times."

"Ms. Tennyson, we shouldn't stay here any longer! Let me get you out of here quickly. Ludwik might have more tricks up his sleeve. He won't rest until you're gone, and it's best you stay out of sight in Emperor City from now on!"

As Bryce spoke, he shielded them as they exited the cabin and headed for the deck, where his speedboat was anchored next to the yacht.

A mere dozen meters away on the pitch-black sea.

Parker suddenly stopped rowing, his sharp eyes catching sight of a group emerging from the yacht!

He recognized Bryce and saw Florence.

Wait a minute, Florence was supporting someone... and it looked like a woman?

The mysterious person is a woman?!

This revelation made Parker gasp in surprise.

Ludwik had described a mysterious person who sounded like a formidable man supporting Florence and Bryce from behind the scenes. How could it be a woman?

Parker's eyes were like a hawk's, fixed on the group as he rowed faster, eager to get a clear view of this 'woman.'

Just as his boat was about to touch the bottom of the yacht, Bryce suddenly glanced over and noticed ripples moving across the otherwise calm sea. Bryce's expression shifted, and he immediately whispered to his crew, "Someone's tailing us. Go check it out, and if necessary, shoot!"

The crew member sprinted off.

Parisa watched through a small cluster of bodyguards as the crew member ran off, but she couldn't hear what Bryce had said.

As she wondered, Bryce spoke gravely, "Hurry into the speedboat with Florence. It seems like Ludwik's men are still around!"

Florence caught his look and immediately began guiding Parisa forward.

Gunshots rang out behind them, making Parisa pause and look back with a frown.

Florence urged her with a worried expression, "Mom, it's dangerous! Don't look back! We need to go now. If Ludwik has more people waiting, none of us will get out of here!"

Water sprayed up in large splashes, but Parisa couldn't make out anything at the rear of the yacht. Florence helped her into the speedboat, and Bryce immediately piloted it, speeding off into the deeper sea.noveldrama

"Phew!" Parker ducked behind the yacht's structure to dodge the gunfire, his eyes wide with shock.

In the brief moment when the 'woman' turned her head, he caught a glimpse of half her face.

It struck him-she looked somewhat like Ms. Valentine?

Parker blinked, unsure if he'd seen it right or if it was just his imagination.

He decided not to pursue Bryce further. He was out here alone, without a gun.

Rather than risk an ambush on the open sea, it was better to head back and report to Ludwik.

He had made a huge discovery.

The mysterious person was actually

a woman, and that fleeting glance at her profile felt oddly familiar. Judging by her age, she seemed older than Florence.

Could it be...

A thought flitted through Parker's mind, too fast for him to grasp.

On the speedboat, Bryce clenched his fists

He wasn't sure who the person following them was.

Had they seen Parisa?!
