Chapter 22: Annie’s Anger
Chapter 22: Annie’s Anger
Spencer did not stop Annie, but played with her mobile phone leisurely.
Listening to Annie's scolding, she felt more comfortable.
Anyway, she didn't have any appetite to eat anymore. She simply crossed her legs, looking at the
expressions of Samuel and Charlotte changed from blushing to be angry.
Hearing Annie’s scolding, Samuel was so furious. As the only child of the Lam family, he was also a big
shot in K City. He had never been scolded like this before, and he had never been humiliated like this.
Besides, his Lam family was also a member of the upper class. There were so many women who
wanted to marry him. How could Spencer not want to marry him and become the young hostess of the
Lam family?
He had heard that something went wrong with the company of the Sharp family.
If it weren’t that the news that he and Charlotte were getting married spread, the Sharp family would
have been down.
If the Sharp family was down, could Spencer still eat here so peacefully?
Thinking about this, Samuel straightened his back and raised his head arrogantly. His tone was full of
disdain, "If it weren't for me, your family would be down a long time ago. Don’t pretend to be innocence
here."
These words made the people in the restaurant prick their ears and listened curiously.
Charlotte got mad because what Annie said, but when she heard Samuel's words, she panicked.
She bit her lip and stared at Samuel next to her. It turned out that he had known that something was
wrong with the Sharp family so early. Didn't he know that she was taking advantage of him?
At the beginning, she set him up and let him have sex with her because of the company problems, but
after two days of getting along, he treated her well which made her fall in love with him.
Spencer's eyes narrowed. It seemed that Samuel had no idea that she was driven out by the Sharp
family, nor did he know the real face of the Sharp family.
Should she appreciate the acting skills of the Sharp family?
Yes, their acting skills were awesome. After all, she had been fooled for more than ten years.
She said calmly, "You think too much."
She really didn't want to explain more to such people.
As soon as she said that, Annie who had already understood Samuel's meaning refuted angrily, "So
what? What does it have to do with Spence? She has been driven out by the Sharp family. You don't
know?"
"Just yesterday, she was kicked out of the house by Taylor Sharp and Phoebe Rees. They warned
Spence not to go to the Sharp family again, and they didn’t allow that Spence’s surname was Sharp.
After all, they have lived together for more than ten years but they just kicked Spence out like this.
Such a shameless behavior, you don’t know?"
Her words shocked Samuel for a few seconds, and then he immediately retorted, "I know. That's
herself..."
Before he finished speaking, he was interrupted by Annie.
Annie put on an exaggerated expression, and said in surprise, "So you know that your future father-in-
law and mother-in-law are shameless. Well, you’re not that bad."
Spencer laughed happily on the side.
The people around were already paying attention to them. Hearing what Annie said, they laughed with
Spencer.
The laughter made Samuel want to tear Annie’s mouth.
He eagerly wanted to change the thinking of those people, "She ran away from home by herself. No
one drove her away. When she left, Mr. Taylor gave her two thousand dollars."
After speaking, he felt a little guilty. After all, two thousand dollars was too little, which was just enough
for him to have a meal.
Charlotte felt that things had lost her control. If they didn’t go now, Annie would tell Samuel everything.
She hurriedly took Samuel's arm, "Samuel, I want to go back to rest. I have classes afternoon."
Charlotte’s words successfully caught Samuel's attention. He looked at her. There were still traces of
crying on her eyes, which made him feel sorry for her.
Seeing that she was really tired, his tone softened, "Okay, I will drive you back to school first, then I’m
going back to the company."
The two of them were about to leave. As soon as they took a step, Annie stopped in front of them with
her hands stretched out.
She smiled, "Wait, make it clear. Charlotte, do you feel guilty?"
Running away from home? Taylor gave Spencer two thousand dollars?
Bullshit. This must be a lie which was made up by Charlotte, the mean bitch.
Today she would let Charlotte expose her real face.
Hearing this, Samuel didn't plan to leave. He wanted to see what tricks Annie was playing.
Charlotte felt anxious. She only hoped that Samuel would leave here soon. She didn't notice his eyes
and pulled him in the opposite direction. But Samuel did not move. She turned her head and called out,
“Samuel?"
"I want to hear what else she has to say."
Annie sneered before asking, "Who did you say ran away from home? Who took Taylor two thousand
dollars?"
"Please don’t talk nonsense before you know what really happened. The Sharp family drove Spence
out. Yes, Taylor took out two thousand dollars but it was thrown on the ground by Phoebe. She said
that was the Sharp family’s money. Even if she throws it away, she won’t give it to Spence."
"Bah, you treat them as good people. They are all wolves in sheep's clothing. They drove Spence out
and swallowed all the inheritance left by Spence’s grandfather. They didn't leave any penny to Spence.
They just gave Spence an empty box. An empty box!"
"Besides, Taylor slapped Spence. He slapped Spence so hard that her mouth was bleeding."
While talking, Annie burned up with anger. Finally, she roared out those words.
After she finished speaking, her tears couldn't help but fell. She felt sorry for her good friend.
Those words were like bombs and were thrown over one by one.
The entire restaurant was stunned for a moment. They were shocked.
Samuel didn't know why the scene of seeing her yesterday suddenly appeared in his mind. She
dragged a suitcase with red palm marks on her face...
He felt his heart ached inexplicably. He remembered that he also hit her later.
Charlotte was completely dumbfounded. Shit! Annie had said everything.
She subconsciously wanted to pull Samuel to flee immediately, but she had to calm down.
If she left right now, it would only show what Annie said was true.
Spencer also felt a little sad, but she was sensible than Annie. She had figure it out.
Although the Sharp family didn't want her, she had to live better than them. She would be able to live
well even though she left that family.
The Sharp family wished that she had a hard time, but she had to live better than them and live happily
than them.
She couldn't help but yelled, "Annie, enough." There was no need to explain to Samuel.
"Let me say one more thing."
Annie wiped the tears from the corners of her eyes, picked up her drink, raised her head, and took a
big sip.
Putting down the cup, she looked at Samuel and said, “Don’t think that Spence is still spending their
Sharp family’s money. She became financially independent long after her grandfather passed away.
Her living expenses were earned by her own work. Someone, please drop the act."
Annie’s words made Charlotte's face instantly darken.
After speaking, Annie sat down on the chair.
She picked up a knife and fork and grabbed a piece of steak to give it to her mouth. Spencer quickly
stopped her, "It's cold. Don't eat it. Order another one."
"No, I'm full." Annie smiled at Spencer.
Samuel regained his senses from the shock. Annie didn't seem to lie at all. He had to wonder if
Charlotte and the others lied.
After all, all the things he knew were told by Charlotte and Phoebe yesterday.
He turned his head and asked Charlotte, "What she said is true?"
The people in the restaurant were whispering. They accused Spencer and Annie just now, but now they
were blaming Samuel and Charlotte in an instant.
Until now, people who knew Spencer and Charlotte also learned that they were sisters.
Charlotte had never been close to Spencer at school, and Spencer had never visited Charlotte, so no
one at the school knew that they were sisters.
Except for Annie of course.
"It turns out that they are sisters.”
"Is that what the girl said is true? Spencer was kicked out of the house? Her family didn’t raise her? It's
really ruthless."
"Adopted? Is she an orphan?"
"Our whole class knew that she was an orphan, and it was only this morning that we knew that she was
robbed of her fiancé by her sister, and she was driven out by her relatives, but I didn’t expect that she
was adopted by the Sharp family. Charlotte looks nice. I didn't expect that she would do this kind of
thing."
"Oh my god. Charlotte robbed Spencer's fiancé? This is so ridiculous."
"Since they have already adopted her, they should raise her to the end. Or just don’t adopt her at the
beginning."
"Yeah. Kicking her out, swallowing her inheritance. Besides, domestic violence?"
...
Those discussions fell into Charlotte's ears plus Samuel's suspicion made Charlotte feel flustered and
a little at a loss.
She wanted to rush forward and slapped the talkative Annie severely.
But she knew that once Samuel believed these words, she would be abandoned without hesitation.
Then she couldn’t get married with Samuel.
The Sharp family would go bankrupt soon. She would have nothing by then.
Thinking of this, she forced herself to endure it. She looked at Samuel sadly, as if she had been
wronged by the world. Her watery eyes seemed to be able to cry in the next second.
"Samuel, don't believe them. I really didn't expect Spence to denigrate her relatives who have raised Content © NôvelDrama.Org.
her for more than ten years in order to prevent me from marrying you."
As soon as her eyes blinked, tears fell.
Samuel remained unmoved. He was still thinking about what Annie said and the scene where he saw
Spencer yesterday.
Charlotte didn't know what he was thinking. She took his hand with some worry, and looked at him
affectionately, "Samuel, you have to believe me. We will get married next month. You still don't believe
you your fiancée?"
Samuel didn't hear what she said at all. He just heard one sentence, and asked confusedly, "She
doesn't want you to marry me?"
He didn't know why as soon as he thought of this possibility, a faint of joy suddenly rose in his heart.
His gaze made Spencer feel creep.
Charlotte immediately pointed to the stain on her body and cried, "If not, why did she splash juice on
me when she heard the news that we were getting married? She gets angry, doesn’t she?"
Hearing Charlotte's words, the people in the restaurant nodded one after another. What Charlotte said
seemingly made senses.
It could also be a war caused by a fight for a man.
The people in restaurant didn't know which side they should be on now, so they just watched them and
waited what would happen next.
Charlotte looked at Samuel who was in a daze staring at Spencer. An idea popped into her mind.
Suddenly, she pulled his arm hard. Samuel moved closer to her.
Seeing him regained his senses, she whispered, "I know that Spencer has always wanted to marry
you. She also wants to rely on you to support her boyfriend. I don't want to see you cheated by her."
What Charlotte said successfully attracted Samuel's gaze and it also made him come to his senses.
His gaze which was looking at Spencer immediately turned into contempt and disdain.
Both Spencer and Annie saw Samuel’s obvious changing. Although they didn't know what Charlotte
said, it was undoubtedly that Charlotte was speaking ill of Spencer.
Spencer glanced at the time. They had been eaten a meal for more than an hour. The class was about
to begin.
She immediately patted Annie's hand. They were about to leave, but Samuel's annoying voice came
over.
"Apologize to Charlotte."
Spencer looked up, "What?"
Samuel said as if he was taking it for granted, "Apologize for what you just did."
After a while, Spencer realized what he was talking about when she followed his gaze.
She smiled, stared at the glass on the table, and didn’t leave in hurry.
She sneered, "Why should I apologize to her?
