Chapter 64 Not in Love
Chapter 64 Not in Love
After returning home, Caleb kept emanating the low pressure. Eva felt weird, wondering what had
happened to him.
Due to their coupling popularity, Eva and Adam received many invitations. Bonnie carefully chose a
commercial event for Eva, but coincidentally, Eva and Adam attended it together. People couldn't help
doubting if they did it on purpose.
The royal blue dress with tightened waist perfectly showed her charming figure. The design on the
dress' waist made her look taller than usual, presenting her waist without any fat. The V-neck exposed
her lovely collarbones.
Eva was born for the stage. She had a gorgeous figure, five feet five. The three-inch high heels made
her a perfect match to Adam when they stood together.
Adam was also wearing a blue suit, sponsored by the host of the commercial event. Eva hadn't
expected them to prepare the same colored outfits for her and Adam. They looked as if they were in
matching clothes.
Honestly speaking, Adam was stunned by Eva when stepping out of his dressing room. He had been
working in the entertainment business for several years and had seen many pretty girls. However, he
was amazed by Eva differently. Sometimes, he couldn't help being attracted to her.
He knew Eva was Caleb's girlfriend, but he couldn't stop looking at her all the time.
"Ahem." Adam bowed his head to hide his emotions.
Eva smiled to ease his embarrassment, walking to the even scene together with him.
After they joined the interview, they attended this event together, so the reporters expected to find more
highlights of them.
Eva walked next to Adam while taking his arm. As soon as they appeared, they became the focus of
the entire scene.
All the cameras focused on them. Occasionally, the crowds exclaimed in surprise.
Sure enough, the news of the love between Eva and Adam spread on the media with the titles such as
"Eva and Adam in Love" and "Eva Sommers and the award-winning actor Adam McCallum will
announce their relationship".
When reading the news, Eva felt helpless. They just happened to wear the same color, but the
reporters made up all kinds of stories about this, which somehow became the "critical evidence" of their
love.
Eva stared at the news worriedly while Adam went to find her.
Although for an actress, the more her news was, the more famous she would become. Eva was afraid
Adam would mind it if the media kept spreading rumors.
After all, Adam had just returned from abroad and was an award-winning superstar. She didn't think he
would be happy to have rumors with her.
"Will this news impact you?" Eva pointed at the entertainment newspaper and asked Adam opposite
her.
"I don't think so. Probably I'll become more famous, thanks to you," Adam answered with a smile.
"Alas... Please stop kidding me." Eva became relieved when hearing his answer.
"You'd better be careful," Adam said, sitting on the sofa with his legs crossed while munching some
snacks.
"You look so relaxed. Why should I be worried?" Eva looked at this playful man calmly.
"You should figure out how to explain to my iceberg Uncle Caleb."
"Why should I? I don't need to explain to him." Eva looked at Adam in confusion, wondering why she
should explain to Caleb.
"Are you kidding me? Doesn't Uncle Caleb care about your rumors?" Adam looked shocked.
"What does it have to do with him?"
"Haven't you moved into his villa? Why doesn't he care about his girlfriend?"
"Girlfriend? We're not in love."
"Pardon me? Did you say you were not Uncle Caleb's girlfriend?" Adam instantly sat upright on the
sofa, looking surprised and joyful.
"Right. Why are you so excited?" Eva was shocked by him, wondering what was wrong with him.
"Why did you move into his villa, then?" Adam suppressed his excitement and asked with butterflies in
his stomach.
"I moved in to accompany William." Then Eva told Adam why she had moved into Rosenfeld Hill in
detail.
Adam grabbed her before she stood up. "Are you really not Uncle Caleb's girlfriend?"
Eva looked at his silly face, giggling.
Adam was entirely scandalized by what he had heard, gaping motionlessly. Joy surged in his heart.
Eva wasn't Caleb's girlfriend!
It meant she hadn't had a boyfriend yet!
The information obtained kept appearing in Adam's mind.
"Why are you in a daze? Let's go downstairs for lunch."
Since they would continue to work in the afternoon, Eva and Adam took a noon break in the arranged
hotel.
During lunch, Adam was absentminded, always gazing at Eva.
Earlier, when he realized that he had a crush on Eva, he thought she had a boyfriend. Although he felt
disappointed, he helped her make a clarification at the press conference. Hence, when he was invited
to attend the programs which Eva would attend, he agreed with all. He just wanted to have more
chances to be with her.
He truly wanted to confess his love to Eva, but his reason reminded him that it wasn't the proper time NôvelDrama.Org: text © owner.
yet. If he suddenly raised the topic, it might make a fool of himself in trying to be smart. Hence, he
repressed his words.
Recently, all employees in Lumenstone Group had been in a blue funk, especially the secretaries and
assistants in the secretary's office on the thirty-ninth floor. They dared not to make any mistake, afraid
to be fired by Caleb.
Just now, even Nathan was called into the president's office.
As soon as Nathan stepped in, he saw Caleb reading a document solemnly. However, he felt a chill
rising on his spines.
"Hello, Caleb. Did you want to see me?" He looked at Caleb with a cheeky smile, head dropping on the
table.
"Please explain." Caleb directly tossed some newspapers to him, on which there were reports about
Eva and Adam attending the interview and the commercial event.
Nathan picked the newspapers up. "Oops! The cameramen are pretty professional. They looked
perfect, didn't they? I'd love to hire the cameramen for our Luxstar."
"Speak!" Caleb ignored him, knowing he was playing dumb.
Nathan had been prepared to be questioned by him. "Well, when I agreed to let Eva attend this
program, I didn't know Adam would go as well..."
Caleb glanced at him coldly. Nathan immediately shushed. He knew Caleb wouldn't believe him so
easily. Hence, he approached him closer with a flattering smile.
"Eva is at Norway Hotel today. She'll knock off at six." Nathan gave Caleb a reminder, wishing to make
amends for his previous faults.
Caleb glanced at his wristwatch and closed the file in his hands.
Then he stood up and left his office.
