LUCIFER'S HUMAN BRIDE

ALMOST DIED

Ralph ignited the engine and drove away. Halfway through the drive, Lucinda fell asleep, resting her head on the fogged window of the car.

"I told you taking you home was not just a big deal." Ralph said staring at her, and when he realized she was sleeping, he drove the car to the front of the building she lived in and parked there.

He stepped out of the car, adjusting his tie, and opened the door, making her fall toward him. He supported her head and tapped her on the shoulder to wake her up, but she didn't respond, so he picked her up and carried her out of the car in his arms, shutting the door with his leg, and started walking into the building with her, but he was stopped by the receptionist.

"Sir, where are you going?" She inquired.

"I'm not sure, can you tell me where she lives?" He asked, turning so she could see Lucinda's face.

"Oh, you don't need to go upstairs. Let me call her sister to pick her up." The receptionist said she was dialing Lucinda's home phone, but no one picked up the phone at the other end. "What's wrong?" Ralph questioned.

"Um, I don't think she is home; their house is on the rooftop. Here is a master key for you to open her house with," she said, handing the key to him, but he couldn't take it, so she walked around the desk and shoved it in his pocket. He walked out on the receptionist and carried Lucinda into the elevator.

Ralph was waiting in the elevator with Lucinda still sleeping in his arms. His eyes lingered on her sexy lips.

"I can't believe she took my first kiss. I hadn't had a woman as a friend in my life, not even in college. There is something about her that is making me attracted to her, or maybe because she is the most beautiful woman I have ever seen." Ralph thought to himself, wondering how her skin could be so smooth and flawless. He was still scrutinizing her when the elevator opened.

He teleported out of the elevator and onto the rooftop. His gaze fell on the door of their house. He walked over to the door, but he couldn't open it, so he teleported inside her house. He looked around the neat and empty living room and began walking her toward the door of the bedroom, hoping it was the bedroom.

He kicked the door open and saw the bed. He entered the room and gently placed her on the bed, taking off her heels as he used the duvet to cover her body. He paused, looking around the room to see if he would see any pictures of her and her sister. He strolled out of the bedroom and started walking around the house looking for pictures, but he just saw paintings.

Medusa was humming a song as she opened the main door to enter the house when she saw Ralph standing close to the TV. She immediately felt a lot of energy coming from his direction and quickly shut the door, jumping to the roof top. She sat there, her heart beating rapidly, like it wanted to come out of her chest. Ralph heard the noise and looked at the door. He walked out of the house to see if there was anyone there, but there was no one. "Hmm, I thought I heard someone opening the door," he muttered to himself.

"Is her sister back?" he asked himself, looking around the rooftop, before looking back into the house. Medusa closed her eyes, trying her best not to breathe so he wouldn't notice her presence.

Ralph shrugged and shut the door to Lucinda's house, walking toward the stairs without looking back. Medusa sat there for a few minutes, breathing heavily, then flew down from the roof, running into the house. She rested against the door, clutching her chest, as she breathed hard.

She ambled to the bedroom and found Lucinda sleeping. "Oh, I think he brought her home." She muttered, taking a deep breath, as she lay next to Lucinda and felt her bag under the sheets.

She took the bag and put it on top of the drawer near the bed and switched off the lights. The following day,

Lucinda woke up and sat up on the bed, spotting her heels on the floor next to the bed.

"How did I get here? I don't remember coming home. All I remember is when I was in his car," Lucinda said to herself, touching her face. Medusa snorted and opened her eyes, turning to Lucinda. "Your foolishness made me almost die yesterday," Medusa said, sitting next to her.

"What?!? D-Did he bring me home yesterday? Did he see you?" Lucinda asked

"I said I almost died, which meant he didn't see me. I was just about to step a foot into the house when I spotted him, so I ran and hid on the rooftop." Medusa explained. "The experience was so terrifying, I even had to hold my breath." She added.

"I am sorry." Lucinda beamed, giving Medusa a light hug. Medusa stroked her back.

"It's okay I don't blame you; you were tired yesterday. I wonder all the work that monster makes you do." Medusa muttered, pulling away from the hug.

"Thank goodness you weren't at home yesterday, and where did you go?" Lucinda inquired.

"I went to Hudson's house..." Medusa replied, smiling endlessly.

"You guys are really taking your relationship to the next level. If he breaks your heart in the future, tell me, because my husband told me human men can't be loyal to only one woman." Lucinda said and began tickling Medusa's arm, making her laugh.

"Hahaha. Stop it." Medusa muttered, pushing her hand away. Lucinda let out a sigh and frowned.

"Your life is sweet and romantic, while mine is complicated...I accidentally kissed my boss yesterday." Lucinda murmured.Text © 2024 NôvelDrama.Org.

"You did what!?!" Medusa asked with her mouth hanging loosely.
