LUCIFER'S HUMAN BRIDE

OUR NEW APARTMENT

"Alright, that's a deal," he said, with a smirk, and stretched his hand forward. Medusa strolled up to him and shook him hard, smiling at him. He withdrew his hand, glancing at it. Medusa looked at the shopping bags on the floor and started opening the small bag around her neck.

"Wait, are you going to pay in cash?" he asked

"Of course, what else should I pay with?" Medusa inquired, rolling her eyes at him.

"I thought you were going to do a transfer." He muttered.

"What's a transfer?" Medusa and Lucinda chorused.

"Forget about it, weirdos," he said, and snatched the cash Medusa was holding, looking at them in a suspicious way.

"I will count the money later, but I brought the documents for you to sign." He said. All content is property © NôvelDrama.Org.

"Sign these documents," he added, handing them to Medusa, who reluctantly took them from him, wondering where the papers came from.

"Give me your pen," Medusa said. He gave her a black pen. She strolled to the center table and squatted down, signing the papers, one after the other.

"So... when are you guys moving in?" he inquired.

"Right now." Medusa mumbled, closing the papers as she finished signing them.

"You mean right now, right now?" He asked, stunned, and started looking around the house. His gaze landed on their shopping bags. The house was in good condition for them to move in, but he didn't expect it would be so soon. "Yes, is something wrong? Can't we live here?" Lucinda asked.

"You can don't get me wrong, but... I don't see any luggage or stuff you want to move in." He stated, scratching the back of his head, he was scared that he had met two strange people.

"Don't worry about that; we will go get them tomorrow," Medusa assured, extending the paper to him. He snatched it from her, avoiding her gaze, and quickly went through the papers to make sure she signed at the appropriate places. He took out a bunch of keys from his pocket and handed them to her.

"Here are the house keys; you can use one of them to lock the door to the rooftop for privacy, but uh, don't lock it all the time because other people like to come here to enjoy the breeze." He said and tossed the keys to Medusa; she caught them.

"Enjoy your stay," he said and did a small bow before walking away. They both watched as he exited the house and shut the door behind him.

"Phew! So, what's a transfer?" Lucinda asked with her eyes popping open. "What?!?" Medusa asked, feeling annoyed. "I don't know either; it's like another way of sending money, I guess." She replied.

"I thought you knew everything; I guess I was wrong." Lucinda said under her breath. "Okay, can we go shopping tomorrow too? I can't wear this floral dress all the time." Lucinda asked in a curious tone.

"Don't worry, I bought a lot of clothes for you; what do you think these shopping bags are for? But if you insist, we can still go." Medusa beamed. She squatted and carried the shopping bags in her arms at the same time, walking in the direction of the bedroom. Lucinda followed her closely as they both entered the bedroom. The bed was a master-sized bed, and it had taken up a lot of space in the room. There was a white nightstand close to it and a window that was open wide, letting in daylight and fresh air, although the air conditioning in the house was satisfactory.

"It's a really big bed, big enough for the two of us!" Lucinda exclaimed, pressing the bed.

"Wow, it's soft and comfy," Lucinda beamed and jumped on the bed without taking off her shoes. She was facing the ceiling with her hand on her stomach.

"Yes, it is." Medusa said dropping all the bags close to the bed before joining Lucinda on the bed.

"So, when are we going to go find the human?" Lucinda asked, turning her face to look at Medusa. Medusa also lay on her side, staring at her.

"Tomorrow, I guess," she replied, closing her eyes. "It feels like we have been walking for two days; my legs are aching. I wish this was hell, where we had the privilege to go places with our wings." Medusa lamented, rubbing her forehead. Lucinda felt bad for letting her come with her, but she was enjoying her company. She giggled at the thought that the woman who looked a little older than her was the woman she considered to be her mother; her skin was still smooth like that of a baby, and she was never aging.

"How are we going to identify him?" she asked, blinking her eyes.

"Don't worry, I will just ask our demon brothers to assist us with the details. Go to sleep. You are so annoying." Medusa whined and chuckled as she rolled to the other side of the bed as her shoes fell off her feet. Lucinda smiled at her and hugged her from behind. "Thank you so much, Medusa. I love you." She whispered and let go of her, sat up and started taking off her shoes.

The next day,

Medusa arranged all the clothes in the closet and shut it. She woke up Lucinda, and they hit the showers together. After bathing, they both put on some simple dresses and headed out together. Lucinda stood close to Medusa as she locked the door of the apartment with the key.

"How are we going to the mall?" Lucinda asked

"The same way we got here, by taxi." Medusa responded pursing her lips.

"Why don't we just fly there?" Lucinda suggested, attempting to bring out her wings.

"No! You can't do that! We are not in hell again, remember? We can't let humans see us or they are going to get scared of us and even hunt us down." Medusa replied, placing her hand on her face in frustration.

"Hmm, how about we fly there invisible instead of wasting money? I wish I could teleport like you guys." Lucinda muttered as she recalled that she didn't have the ability to teleport; if she had, it would have been better.

"Shit! You will get me into trouble one day, my queen. I just want us to live like normal humans, so no one grows suspicious of us, but it seems you have a lot of things to learn." Medusa grinned.

"But we are not normal humans!" Lucinda exclaimed and turned invisible before Medusa could utter a word. She spread her big wings and started flapping them, flying away with her feet off the ground.
