Luna of the Cursed Alpha King (Helga and Siegren)

Chapter 79

"ARE YOU CRAZY?" Helga scowled in disbelief as the words left his mouth. She felt foolish for even considering that his apology was genuine. He wasn't seeking forgiveness, he just wanted her back. She knew he would still try to win her back, but she couldn't believe that he'd actually do it despite seeing how deep and serious her relationship with Siegren was. She couldn't help but cross her arms against her chest and raise a brow while looking down at him, “Do you honestly want to make an enemy out of the Alpha King?"

"No, of course not," Ezra's response was immediate, though he was fully aware of the risks involved in trying to win Helga's affections. But if he did nothing, their pack would surely suffer and face its downfall. "I am considering challenging the Alpha King to a duel, and if I win, come back to me... Please?"

A look of disbelief washed over Helga's features, rendering her speechless for a moment. She couldn't believe the absurdity of his idea; not only was he planning to defy the Alpha King, the most powerful werewolf in the country, but he was also treating her as nothing more than a prized possession. He saw her as an object, something to be owned and controlled. Anger began simmering inside her as she struggled to keep her emotions in check because of his outrageous suggestion.

"Stand up," she said, her voice stern as she rose from the sofa, glaring down at him. Ezra's finger twitched in response to her intense aura, but he remained still, causing Helga to frown in frustration, "Didn't you hear me? I said stand up."

He reluctantly stood up from his kneeling position, facing her with a heavy silence lingering between them. He couldn't read her thoughts, but he knew she was probably offended by his suggestion. However, he couldn't back down now. If he did, he would never be able to return to his own territory, having failed in his decision. He was the one who claimed that Miranda was the key to their prophecy because they were destined mates. And now, news of her using magic and being rejected by him had probably spread to the Incarnadine's ears. He needed to find a solution before returning home, in order to avoid shame and maintain his position as their Alpha.

"Fight me instead," Helga broke the silence, causing Ezra to blink a few times. He then looked at her with surprise as he tried to process the words she just said. He was about to question her when she continued talking, "If you managed to defeat my wolf, I'm going to reject Siegren and return to your side."

"What?" Ezra asked, his initial response was confused but he quickly came to the realization that battling Helga would be simpler than challenging the Alpha King. He was aware that her wolf was not to be underestimated, but as an Alpha himself, he was confident that his own wolf would be stronger. "All right, it's a deal."

With a confident smile, he extended his arm towards her, ready to seal the deal. But as he looked into Helga's eyes, he saw only coldness. Her eyes flickered over his outstretched hand before settling on him with disdain, making him feel like a loser in her presence. Slowly, a smirk crept onto her lips, causing him to feel a twinge of offense. However, he bit his tongue, not wanting to make any more mistakes that could jeopardize his chance of winning her over.

"You can leave now. I'll contact you once I've spoken with the Alpha King," she said, turning towards the door to hold it open for him. She then gave him a final glance and said, "You

know your way out, right?"

"Yes, Your Majesty," Ezra's words came out strained as he forced himself to speak them with respect, trying to swallow the last remnants of his pride. With a final bow to the queen, he passed through the door and left her alone with her thoughts. As she closed the door, Helga let out a deep sigh and leaned against it, her mind racing with conflicting emotions. She knew Siegren would be furious once she told him about the deal she had made with Ezra. Realizing how hasty her decision was made her feel stupid, she couldn't believe she let her emotions rule over her better judgment.

"WHAT?" Siegren's eyebrows furrowed in confusion as Helga explained the conversation she had with Ezra. They were alone in his study and the silence that ensued after her revelation was overwhelming. He looked at her, trying to process everything, and Helga could see the struggle in his eyes as he attempted to make sense of the situation.

"I'm sorry for my impulsive decision, but I am confident that my wolf would easily defeat Ezra's. His wolf may be strong, but he doesn't have any special skills like Stella." She tried to reason with herself, though she knew deep down it was wrong for her to make a decision without consulting him first. If she were in his shoes, she would feel angry and hurt as well, especially at the mention of rejection. Suddenly, guilt washed over her like a wave, prompting her to approach him and gently ease herself onto his lap. She then placed her hand on his chest, wanting to offer comfort despite knowing how upset he must be feeling.

"If you're not comfortable with me taking on this fight, you can do it instead. He initially wanted to challenge you anyway. Just don't get angry.”

Siegren let out a frustrated sigh and rubbed his neck before turning to face her.

He wrapped his arm around her waist, pulling her close.

"It's not even about that," he said. "I hate how he treated you like some kind of prize, thinking he could just take you away from me with his stupid plan."

"Well, that just shows how unintelligent he was." Helga shrugged nonchalantly as she wrapped her arms around his neck, "Plus, there's absolutely no chance of me rejecting you and going back to him. I would rather die."

"I will contact that vermin and tell him to fight me instead, I'll make sure to put him in place." Siegren clenched his jaw, feeling his fury intensify with each passing moment. How could that imbecile even consider the idea of a duel to win Helga back? Yet, this duel was also an opportunity for Siegren to physically harm Ezra and make a fool out of him in front of

"All right," Helga nodded, her heart racing as she leaned in to kiss him on the cheek. She hoped this small gesture would alleviate his anger, and it seemed to work as he cupped her cheeks and pressed his lips against hers. The familiar feeling of his touch sent shivers down her spine as his hands slid down her back, resting on her hips. Every nerve in her body tingled with anticipation and longing. It had been so long since they had been this intimate, even when they confessed their love for each other, he had held back from fully embracing

her like this.

"Nghh-"A moan escaped her lips as Siegren's hand unintentionally squeezed her breast, causing him to realize what he was doing. He snapped his eyes open and immediately pulled away, withdrawing his hand that made Helga confused. "Why did you stop?"

"I can't, I promise myself that I—”

"It's fine, I want to do it. I miss the feeling of you going inside me." The words that escaped Helga's lips sent a jolt through Siegren's body, causing his member to stiffen in response. He tried to fight against his primal instincts, knowing that the full moon was fast approaching, and he needed to keep control. But his mate's provocative statement only fueled his possessiveness, which had been recently triggered by Ezra's audacious attempt to take Helga away from him.

"Fuck," he growled as he stood up abruptly, cursing under his breath before he lifted her onto the table. His kisses were urgent and hungry as if he had been starved for months. At first, Helga was taken aback, thinking she must have said something she shouldn't have. But as she felt his hard arousal pressing against her, all thoughts escaped her mind and she gave in to the pleasure, letting out soft moans against his lips.

"You can't just say something like that, my queen," he muttered.

"W-why?" she asked, her breath becoming ragged and her body trembling slightly under Siegren's touch. As his hand slipped under the skirt of her maxi dress, he continued kissing her neck tenderly, causing goosebumps to spread across her skin. "Wait, are we really doing this here? I didn't lock the door, and there are royal guards outside."

"It's all right, no one's dumb enough to come and barge in here." His eyes sparkled with mischief as he lowered himself down, using mind link to communicate with the royal guards outside his study to leave. With a sly smile, he reached up and delicately tugged at the neckline of Helga's dress and lacy undergarments. The sight of her bare breast, which he had not been able to see for some time, sent a surge of desire through him like a beast awakening from slumber. He could feel his hunger growing, his desire to consume her completely becoming impossible to ignore. And in that moment, he made no attempt to contain it.

"A-at least close the curtain," Helga's voice snapped Siegren out of the daze that had taken over his mind, causing him to shift his gaze from her breasts to her eyes. "Please?"

"All right," He chuckled and pressed a gentle kiss to her forehead before walking over to the window behind his desk. He closed the curtains for privacy and then did the same for the balcony door since their office was visible from other buildings on the palace grounds. Once everything was closed, he went to turn on the chandelier-a small action that perplexed Helga.

"Why did you turn on the lights?" she questioned, watching him walk towards her, his eyes burning in lust. She couldn't help but nervously gulp when his eyes met hers, his intense stare making her heart pound harder as she nervously waited for his answer.

"It's been quite some time, and I wanted to see every nook and cranny of yours." A smirk spread across his face as he grazed his thumb over her bare nipples, causing her to bite down on her lip. "It was you who provoked me, after all so, I plan on savoring every moment of devouring you."
