Mafia Kings: Roberto: Dark Mafia Romance Series #5

Chapter 75

I had to admit, Roberto far exceeded every expectation I had.

From the choice of the restaurant…

To greeting the head chef and owner like an old friend…

To the private tasting in the kitchen…

And making our own homemade pasta by mixing the dough with our hands…

I experienced something I hadn’t felt in a long, long time:

Fun.

Child-like, exuberant fun.

Add in the delicious food and the spectacular wine, and I was flying high as we took our seats in the main dining room.

And then he surprised me even more.

We were flirting pretty heavily. I had forgotten all about Lau’s order to do what Roberto wanted; I was just enjoying our repartee.

He asked me if I participated in De Sade’s ‘activities.’

“On occasion. Not at the club, though. Never at the club. I keep my personal life and work life separate.”

To be honest, it had been forever since I’d done anything with a partner. The stress of my job had forced me to be ‘all work and no play’ for nearly a year.

I asked him if he was in the scene. He told me ‘no’ and that he had to be discreet.

“My family wouldn’t exactly understand my… specific desires,” he said.

“And what are these ‘specific desires’?”

He stared directly into my eyes. “Control.”

A shiver ran down my spine when he said it.© 2024 Nôv/el/Dram/a.Org.

“Domination?” I asked.

“I guess you could call it that.”

Then the conversation got around to me.

“What do you enjoy?” he asked in a low voice.

I thought about not telling him.

It wasn’t any of his business.

But part of me…

Part of me was hoping he might want to play.

“I like being tied up,” I said quietly.

As soon as I said it, his eyes darkened. I could feel his desire radiating out over me.

I realized with a bit of shock that I was turned on, too.

Very turned on.

WAY too turned on.

GOD he was hot…

When he started to speak, I interrupted and tried to reassert control. “No, I get to ask you a question now.”

He smiled at me like he enjoyed seeing me flustered…

And then he agreed.

I should have asked him something neutral, something mundane.

But the bloom of heat I felt between my legs won out.

“When did you first know?”

“When I was 20.”

“What happened?” I asked, my mouth watering.

He held my eyes for the longest time…

Then looked at his Rolex.

“Oh, no – look at the time. I have to get you back to work.”

What a fucking tease!

“NO!” I cried out as I slapped his arm.

“What can I do? I promised.”

“You coward!”

“Not at all. I’m just not going to tell you that story here.”

“Why not?”

“It’s private. And slightly scandalous. Not for your club, obviously – but for an establishment like this, it’s a bit risqué, and I wouldn’t want it overheard.”

I knew where this was heading.

I knew exactly what he was going to say next…

And I found, to my surprise, that I wanted him to say it.

“Where would you tell me, then?”

His gaze was hypnotic as he murmured, “At your place. Over a drink.”

This is a bad idea, Mei-ling.

You shouldn’t do this…

But I wanted to.

Desperately wanted to, in fact.

And for the second time that evening, I agreed to what he asked.

“Alright,” I whispered.
