Everett shook his head honestly, "I have no idea how she got the necklace, but she probably had a fake one made to throw you off."

Since Yasmine was taken away, Selena hadn't thought much about it, but now, her curiosity was piqued.

Everett paused before answering, "I haven't kept up, but Alex mentioned she's done plenty of bad things over the years. She's facing her karma now and will probably spend the rest of her days in prison."

Selena chuckled, "Well, she's getting what's coming to her."

Everett sighed, "Mrs. Bennett, can you focus on your man during moments like this?"

Hearing the slight annoyance in his voice, Selena finally laughed, "Alright."

She extended her finger again, letting Everett slide the ring onto her finger without a hitch.

Everett stood up, leaned down, and kissed her deeply.

Selena wrapped her arms around his neck, matching his passion.

They only pulled apart when they were both breathless. Everett then sat on the swing, cuddling Selena in his arms.

Everett glanced at her belly and whispered, "Finally, we're making it official before this little one arrives. Otherwise, she might think her dad's not up to the task."
