Chapter 616
"I pick this one," Killian said.
"I won't pick the one you did," said Dustin and chuckled softly.
Killian, Darren, and Luna shared a meaningful look.
They already knew which item was the authentic one. They were definitely going to win.
Dustin would definitely lose!
After they both made their choices, the host was about to announce the correct
answer.
"Hold on," Killian suddenly said.
"I want to up the stakes." He smiled sinisterly as he stared at Dustin. "Whoever loses has to crawl out of here like a dog."
Everyone glanced at each other.
It seemed that Killian had a massive grudge against Dustin. It was no wonder that he had been targeting the latter from the start.
The additional bet was a huge insult. It did not matter which of them lost. The loser would lose his dignity and become a laughingstock.
"Mr. Fox, this has nothing to do with the rules of the Antiquities Trading Hall. You have the right to choose. It wouldn't matter if you don't take this bet," the host said to Dustin.
Although this was the organizer's words, it was clear that rejecting the bet would imply that Dustin was a coward.
"I accept." Dustin looked at the delighted Killian and nodded.
"Crawling like a dog isn't any fun!" Luna pouted in displeasure. "If you lose, you and Simone will have to crawl out like a dog and bark like one!"
"Don't go too far, Luna!" Simone was so angry that she was trembling. They were all members of the same family, so how could Luna be so ruthless and cruel?
"It's just a matter of whether you dare to take the bet. If you don't, just say so." Luna was being very aggressive.
Simone's face was cold as ice. She was absolutely appalled by her so-called relative.
Luna was really going too far in trying to humiliate them!
"Dustin, are you confident about this?" she asked Dustin huffily.
"Yes." Dustin nodded with a smile.
"Alright, I trust you! Let's take that bet!" Simone said angrily.
Luna kept trying to pick on them, and Simone could not take it any longer.
"If Simone wants to take the bet, wants
we'll take the bet." Dustin's
indifferent gaze instantly turned sharp. His demeanor changed completely. "If you lose, you both will have to bark and crawl out of here like dogs."
If they were not sure of their win, Luna and Killian might actually have beennoveldrama
scared of Dustin.
They thought Dustin was digging his own grave here.
"Alright then, you can announce the
answer now," Killian said
host t as he propped one leg up on the other.
"The result of this round..." the host said slowly as he raised his voice.
The audience got excited.
Simone felt her heart jump into her throat. She was terrified that they would lose.
Only Dustin and Killian were calm. Both were confident in their choices.
"The result is..." the host repeated before announcing, "Mr. Fox is the winner!"
In an instant, chaos broke out in the hall.
Simone felt like a huge weight had been lifted from her shoulders, and she nearly collapsed to the floor.
Luna and Darren were dumbstruck. They froze and were wide-eyed.
The confident expression on Killian's face stiffened, and he felt like he had just been struck by lightning.
"I lost? I really lost?"
bet
Killian was in a daze even after a long time. He suspected that he had heard the results wrong. Terrorròse within him, and he could not believe
what he had heard.
It was the Antiquities Trading Hall's manager who had given him the answer. How could it be the wrong one?
What do you think?
