Chapter 1083
goes well
As the two of them were examining the diamond necklace, Erica said, “This necklace with your wedding dress, though. Drake wouldn have sent it to you on purpose, would he?”
“It’s just a coincidence,” Debra replied.
She held the necklace up to her neck, and it matched her outfit very well.
“Hey, where did the necklace from the safe go?” the stylist suddenly asked.
That was a treasure prepared by Caleb. It would be disastrous if it went missing.
Erica frowned. “It’s missing? Maybe it wasn’t brought here?”
“That’s impossible,” the stylist insisted. “I put it in the safe myself. The safe was transported from the airport this morning by a special team. Nothing could go wrong.”
Debra looked down at the diamond necklace in her hand and figured out it was Drake’s prank.
She said, “It’s fine. I’ll just wear this one.”
The stylist hesitated. If they didn’t follow Caleb’s instructions, he might get upset.
Debra explained, “Caleb is getting on in years. He won’t remember such details about jewelry. Don’t worry. I’ll explain to him if he finds out.‘
“Understood,” the stylist replied, starting to prepare. noveldrama
Erica was still puzzled. “But where did the other necklace go?”
“Who controls the Orkgate airport?” Debra shrugged. “It’s not hard to guess.”
Erica finally understood the situation. It was Drake’s doing.
Meanwhile, Drake’s car was parked outside the hotel.
Drake stepped back, leaned against the car, and lit a cigarette. The doorman rushed over and bowed to him.
“Was the item delivered? What was her reaction?”
“Miss Mathis seemed quite surprised.” €
“Who asked about her? I meant Debra.”
“Ms. Frazier didn’t have much of a reaction, but she was quite surprised when she saw it was a diamond necklace.”
Drake nodded in satisfaction.
Kale got out and said, “Boss, should we return the necklace we took?”
Drake glanced at the necklace in Kale’s hand. “That quality? It can’t compare to the one I sent.
Just toss it.‘
“Toss it?” Kale gasped.
This necklace wasn’t cheap, either.
Drake got back into the car, and the doorman attentively saw him off.
The doorman couldn’t figure out how Debra managed to obtain such courtesy from Drake.
He shook his head and turned to leave when a black car suddenly pulled up.
A man wearing a mask got out, handing a gift box and a stack of money to him. “Deliver this for me.”
The doorman rushed to the second–floor suite. Debra was getting her makeup done, and Erica was on the phone with Randy, discussing Marion’s situation.
Seeing the doorman, Erica asked, “What did Drake send this time?”
The doorman hesitated, remembering the customer’s instructions against revealing his identity. “This is a gift for Ms. Frazier.”
The artist was busy working on Debra’s makeup. Unable to move, she said to Erica, “Help me open it.”
