My Substitute CEO Bride

Chapter 2006

Back at the Summit of Ten Thousand Dynasties, Zaafea turned his gaze to the old priest and muttered, "Seriously? Are they just going to go all out now?"

The old priest had somehow flown several miles away and was now leisurely sipping tea, watching the spectacle unfold.

"Oh, come on, really? Running away at the first sign of trouble? Clint!" Zaafea called out to Clint, who was about to charge into battle. "What is it?" Clint asked.

"Are you seriously going to charge in? Haven't you noticed that most people have already run off? We should get out of here too."

"Run away?" Clint shook his head. "If we don't defeat him here, he'll harm even more people."

"But that guy is a bona fide god. He's one of the top fighters among the gods themselves too! Even though he hasn't fully recovered his strength, he could still kill everyone here without breaking a sweat."

"Oh? You're afraid of him?" Clint asked somewhat mockingly.

"Yes, I'm afraid. So-"

"You can deal with him, right?" Clint asked again, his tone shifting.

Ryan stepped forward. "In that case... With Zaafea here, I'll give my all to support you."

"I'm in too," Benedict added.

"And me," Lana said as she joined the group.noveldrama

Deluca obediently stood behind Zaafea then too.

"No way," Zaafea refused sternly. "You guys need to get out of here, now! If anything happens to you, it'll be disastrous. That god hasn't fully recovered his power yet. The Illuminion brought him out just to create chaos. They'll retract him soon, so for now, we—" "You... Are you serious? Why are you even considering this?" Clint asked disdainfully.

"So, when are we supposed to act? When he fully recovers his power? Zaafea, what is wrong with you?"

"You..." Zaafea was at a loss for words.

"Have you all not realized the

I

situation?" Zaafea said urgently. "Even though that god isn't at full power, he's still a god! If you go now, it's a death sentence. But you guys, you can't die here! Please, just leave!"

Clint shook his head.

"Cut the crap," Ryan said, stepping forward with the god-slaying sword in his hand. He bit his finger and summoned Blade Demon Tulio.

"Zaafea, I understand what you mean, but regardless, I won't run away in shame. Maybe we'll really die here today, but I want to die on the battlefield. Running away... It just doesn't suit me." en

Ryan then charged straight at the Sky-Devouring Demon God with Benedict and Lana following closely behind.

Clint also said nothing else and just patted Zaafea on the back.

They then charged toward the Sky-Devouring Demon God.

A look of despair flashed in Zaafea's eyes. He knew he could not change the inevitable future that was unfolding before him. Zaafea was not incapable of defeating the

enemy before him, but he kne

if he truly engaged in battle with that being, it would be a cataclysmic fight, and there would be no winners in the end.

"Why won't you just listen to me?!" Zaafea roared, emitting terrifying dark energy as he also launched an attack on the Sky-Devouring Demon God.

In Yerusia, amid the ruins of the royal palace, Cormick was yelling for everyone to charge. His voice had grown hoarse.

He stripped off his military coat, revealing his upper body. His left side was that of a normal human being, but his right side was entirely mechanical. Cormick thrust his right hand forward and charged into the encirclement of mutated enemies.

With a powerful punch, he split the battlefield, facing half of the undead alone while leaving the other half to his soldiers.

Nearby, two giant beasts were still locked in combat.
