No longer a pushover (Noelle and Cedric)

Noelle nodded. "I understand. I'll leave now."

"Take this box of sanitary pads with you. It'll serve as evidence for your investigation." Laura even had someone repack the expired sanitary pads before handing them to Noelle.

Emma quickly interjected, "Noelle, let me have someone drive you back. It's not convenient for a young woman to carry that."

"There's no need. I can handle it myself." Noelle lifted the box with one hand, showing no sign of struggle.

Laura was surprised. "You're quite strong, Ms. Liddell."

Unfortunately, starting that day, Noelle's charity foundation would become nothing more than a laughingstock.

Emma couldn't help but speak up. "Laura, this clearly has nothing to do with Noelle. She's not that kind of person. Isn't it a bit harsh to just kick her out?"

"Mrs. Greene, it's not that I don't want to help, but rules are rules. I can't bend them for just one person, or it'll be hard for me to manage things in the future." Laura lowered her voice and asked, "How did you meet Noelle, Mrs. Greene? You two seem close."

"Oh, Noelle and I just hit it off. Last time, I wasn't feeling well during the charity auction, and she helped me. That's why I believe her." Of course, Emma couldn't tell Laura the whole truth.

But Laura still felt suspicious. "Ms. Noelle seems to have a good relationship with Alfred. I ran into Noelle visiting him when Cedric was hospitalized from the car accident."

"Really? Then, I suppose they must know each other." Emma's expression stiffened. "You all proceed without me. I have something to take care of."

Laura watched Emma's departing figure, frustrated.

It was obvious Emma knew that Noelle was the girl Cedric was protecting. Yet she had chosen not to tell her. Did Emma change her mind? She used to favor Laura as a daughter-in-law.

But judging by Noelle's behavior, she likely didn't even know Cedric's real identity yet. There was still a chance.

Laura turned to Samantha. "Where's that follower of yours?"

"I have no idea. It's her first time here, and she's probably off taking pictures," Samantha shrugged.

"Tell her about the expired sanitary pads." Samantha's eyes immediately lit up. "Oh, right! I almost forgot Let's see how arrogant Noelle can be once Xenia spreads this around."

Laura didn't bother explaining further to her sister. Today's events had gone smoothly, thanks to Xenia handing them the perfect opportunity.

After leaving the venue, Noelle headed straight for Donovan's company. She wasn't about to let this matter slide.

With the large box in hand, she

stormed into Liddell Corporation. It wasn't her first time here. The receptionist recognized her and didn't stop her, immediately calling the secretary's office to report her arrival. noveldrama

Noelle stepped out of the lift and marched straight into Donovan's office.

He had been in the middle of a discussion when she barged in, and he snapped

at her. "What are you doing here making a scene again?"

"Didn't you support Xenia in handling the charity funds? Well, this is what she bought!" Noelle strode forward and dumped the expired sanitary pads all over his desk.
