No longer a pushover (Noelle and Cedric)

Chapter 548

Xenia smirked and said, "That's right, Noelle. L Bistro is a private club-only people with status and connections can dine here."

Cedric replied coldly, "It's just L Bistro. Is it really something to brag about?" Wyatt scoffed. "You talk big, but do you even have a membership?"

Cedric replied calmly, "No."

Did he need a membership? He was one of the restaurant's shareholders.

Xenia covered her mouth and giggled. "No membership means no entry. Noelle, why didn't you warn your boyfriend? This is so embarrassing!"

Before she could gloat any further, the restaurant manager rushed out with several staff members trailing behind him.

Xenia straightened her posture and strutted forward. "That must be Donovan's people, here to greet Wyatt and me."

After all, Donovan still felt guilty about Wyatt's accident-he would definitely do everything he could for him. However, the manager and his team walked straight past her. Without hesitation, he pushed Xenia aside while the rest of the staff lined up at the entrance as if preparing to welcome someone important.

Xenia stumbled and pouted at Wyatt. "Wyatt, that hurt!"

Wyatt immediately lost his temper and snapped at the manager. "Are you blind? Didn't you see someone standing here? Is this how Donovan told you to treat us?"

He had assumed, just like Xenia, that these people were here on Donovan's orders. Yet, the manager barely spared him a glance. With a flick of his wrist, two waiters promptly wheeled Wyatt-chair and all-off to the side.

Wyatt could not believe the staff was treating them that way, and his face turned red with rage. "What the hell are you doing? If Donovan hears about this, you won't get away with it!"noveldrama

Xenia was just as stunned, wondering who they were here for if not for Wyatt.

The manager, who had just been so arrogant, stood respectfully before Cedric and Noelle and politely said, "Right this way."

Cedric did not even bat an eye. He acted as if this kind of treatment was nothing new.

Noelle remained composed as well.

She knew the manager was only being this courteous to Cedric

because of Alfred, but watching the

Liddells get humiliated in the

process still felt incredibly satisfying.

Hooking her arm through Cedric's, she strolled past Wyatt and Xenia. Then, she

glanced sideways at them. "Do you two have a membership?"

Xenia gritted her teeth. "Donovan does."

"Oh, but if you don't, then Donovan's probably too busy wining and dining the Cantrells to come get you."

As soon as Noelle said that, she saw Wyatt and Xenia's faces turn a deep shade of green. With that, she happily walked inside with Cedric.

Just then, Cedric gave the manager a long, meaningful look. The latter, not being

an idiot, immediately understood the unspoken command.

Turning back to Wyatt and Xenia, he stated, "No membership, no entry."

Even though Donovan had made arrangements, Cedric's word carried more weight-these two were not getting in.

Xenia clenched her fists, humiliated. "Wyatt, call Donovan right now!"

Wyatt did as she said, but Donovan's phone kept ringing with no answer.

Eventually, the two of them were left standing outside in the cold.

Upstairs, in a private dining room, Noelle laughed so hard her stomach hurt. Then, Cedric opened the window, pulled her closer, and said, "Let's keep watching."

From their vantage point, they could see the entrance perfectly-Xenia and Wyatt were still stuck outside, shivering in the wind. Noelle could not stop laughing at the sight.

Cedric reached over and wiped a tear from the corner of her eye, asking, "Satisfied now?"

"Of course! That felt amazing." Noelle lifted her gaze and met Cedric's eyes.

Her heart skipped a beat, and the space between them suddenly felt smaller. As he leaned in closer, she

quickly turned away, feeling like standing by the window was not the best idea.

But just as Noelle turned, she caught sight of another group of people entering the

restaurant and blurted out, "Mrs. Greene?"
