Pursuing My Ex Wife in Full Blooming Spring

Chapter 46

Upon hearing no response from Charles, Donna called out to him again.

Charles‘ gaze shifted, and he came back to his senses. “I know,”

He had known for a long time..

“Hehe. That’s good..

“Well, it’s all a coincidence this time. It happens to be the relatives on the other side. After Naomi divorced, she had no contact with them. Who would’ve thought that such a thing would happen?

“You’re also from Willowstown. I don’t know if you’ve heard of the Lawsons, but Naomi’s ex- husband comes from that family. The Lawsons are very particular about their conduct, and when such things happen, they must take responsibility for Naomi’s follow–up treatment. You don’t have to worry about the transfer to another hospital. They’ll take care of it over there.

“Of course, nothing more will come out of this. Once this matter is over, everyone will go their separate ways. Don’t think too much about it.”

Originally, this phone call was what Naomi wanted to tell Charles, but when the call connected, Donna thought of something and told Charles. Then, she took her phone and went out.

Parents would always think of their children.

Charles was a good child, and she did not want Naomi to miss out.

A smile appeared on Charles‘ face. “With your words, even if I want to think more, I won’t.”

With this sentence, Donna understood..

“Hehe! You have nothing to worry, then.”

After a few more words, the call ended.

Charles put

put down his phone, and his heart stirred.

Not thinking too much was impossible, but as he said, he was at ease with the support of her parents.

The Goodwins did not want Naomi to have any more ties with the Lawsons. with him. It was clear they favored him.

As long as he could steadily win her heart, that would be enough.

Charles smiled slightly as he entered the elevator.

BU USEO NOT satisfied

Naomi sat on the bed. At this hour, she was not tired yet, but her hands were immobilized, rendering her unable to do anything. With nothing else to be done, she gazed at the night sky. Unconsciously, Scott’s words danced back into her mind, as well as the tone he used when saying those words.

No matter how she thought about it, she felt like he had become a different person, far from the person he was before. It was as if the person from the past was unfamiliar and distant, while the

present one was close and real. It was truly strange.

The door opened. Donna walked in, interrupting Naomi’s thoughts. Naomi looked over as Donna approached with a phone in hand, saying, “Look, she’s right there.”

She pointed at Naomi, and the camera focused on her. Soon, Amelia’s voice came through. “Raise your hands!”

Amelia?

Naomi was stunned. She had not told Amelia about her injured hand. How did Amelia find out?

Before she could dwell on it, Amelia continued, “Don’t bother thinking. That jerk Sean told me. If he didn’t, I wouldn’t have known. Quick, let me see, Raise both hands; let me see how you’re holding up.”

Amelia’s outburst drew laughter out of Naomi.

Facing the camera, she raised her hands, which were wrapped like a mummified corpse.

Amelia exclaimed, “You can’t take care of yourself at all now!” She leaned into the camera, much to

Donna’s amusement.

“Exactly. That’s why we have to take care of her now.”

“Ah! This is fate!”

This inexplicable statement left Naomi bewildered. What did they mean by that?

“Okay, I’ve seen your hands. Donna, turn off the video. I want to talk with Naomi. Don’t eavesdrop, okay?”

“Ahaha! Okay, okay.”

Amelia had a lively and cheerful personality. The elders in the Goodwins liked her a lot, and they treated her as if she were their own daughter. Soon, the video was turned off, and Amelia’s call came
