Reborn From Oblivion

Chapter 494

"Daddy, today's super special, you know. You've got to make it count with Mommy. That's why I got Uncle to take me out, so you two can have some alone time. Make the most of it, Daddy," Nina said with a cheeky grin. Nathan felt a little tug at his heart. "A special day?"

He racked his brain, thinking through Nathalie's birthday, their first date anniversary, and even all the major holidays, but nothing clicked.

It was Nathalie who finally clued him in. "Nathan, Nina's talking about our past life."

Suddenly, it hit him, and his face clouded with sorrow. Today, in their past life, was the heart-wrenching day they parted ways.

Nathan vividly remembered witnessing Nathalie's tragic end, her life slipping away in his arms.

The depth of his grief that day was beyond words.

Since then, his world had been painted in shades of gray.

Nathalie shook her head, gently scolding Nina. "This child, always knows just how to hit where it hurts."

But Nathan squeezed Nathalie's hand, deeply moved. "Nina's right, today is incredibly special for us. Nathalie, I never want to feel the pain of losing you again. It's unbearable."

He leaned into her shoulder, and Nathalie could feel him trembling slightly.

She sighed, "Nina, that little rascal, really needs a talking-to."

Meanwhile, Nina, the mastermind, sat in the car headed to Dawson International, her face serious.

Ford finally noticed something was off. "Nina, where exactly are we going?"

Nina pointed at a fork in the road. "Uncle, take a left here, then stop at the next intersection."

When Ford followed her directions and saw Dawson International's towering skyscraper, he was taken aback.

Ford eyed Nina suspiciously. "Nina, do you actually know where we're heading?"

Nina shrugged, "I was just guessing."

Dominick chuckled, "You're way too paranoid, Ford. She's just a kid; could she remember such a l

route? It's gotta be destinynoveldrama

Ford shot Dominick a skeptical look. "Are you sure letting Nina out here is a good idea?"

Dominick whispered, "She's just a

kid; she doesn't know this is her

dad's rival's turf. We can't breaket

promise to a kid; that'd set a bad example."

Ford sighed, "You'll take the blame if anything goes wrong."

Dominick, ever the optimist, nodded. "Sure, I'll handle it."

He hopped out of the car first, lifting Nina down, muttering, "What's the worst that could happen? Making a fuss over nothing."

Ford parked and hurried after them,

holding Nina's hand tightly. "Nina don't let go of my hand. There are bad folks around. If you're not careful, one might snatch you away."

Nina, holding onto both Dominick and Ford, skipped towards Dawson International.

At the entrance, there was a vibrant little amusement park, full of colors and excitement.

Nina, bouncing ahead, shouted, "I want to play in the amusement park!"

Ford and Dominick had no choice but to tag along.

They joined Nina on the merry-go-round, seesaw, and in the sandpit... until they were utterly worn out.

Suddenly, Nina, looking a bit anxious, piped up, "Uncle, I need the bathroom."

Dominick, too tired to argue, let Ford handle it. "Alright, Uncle will take you."

Nina pointed to the restroom sign on the first floor of Dawson International. "There's the bathroom. I can go by myself."
