Reborn From Oblivion

Chapter 838

Nathalie scrunched her face, clearly annoyed. "So, Benjamin called me over just because Cameron's plastered?"

Their only connection these days was little Nina.

Trying to ignore the sour stench hanging in the air, Nathalie reluctantly stepped closer, stopping about a meter from where they stood.

Benjamin's eyes lit up when he spotted her. "Nathalie, I knew you weren't that cold-hearted. Cameron's drunk, kept calling your name. Seems like neither of you has moved on. You might as well get back together. Besides, Cameron's divorced Greta now."

Nathalie couldn't help but roll her eyes. Benjamin, you idiot.

"He's calling my name-ever think it's not love but pure hatred?"

Benjamin shook his head. "You really don't know Cameron, do you? He's always felt guilty about everything that happened. He never held you responsible."

Nathalie let out a sarcastic laugh. "That's absurd."

"Nathalie, when did you get so heartless? Cameron's always been forgiving with you."

Suddenly, Nathalie's eyes blazed with fury as she cut him off. "If he really felt guilty, how could he hurt Nathan, the one person who was always there for me?"

Benjamin was left speechless.

Nathalie felt like she'd just swallowed something vile.

She shot Benjamin a warning glare. "Benjamin, I have a deep grudge against him. If you pull this stunt again, I'll make sure both of you end up on the streets."

Benjamin's eyes widened in disbelief. "You're so cruel."

"Cruel?" Nathalie echoed softly. "If you think I'm cruel, I'll show you just how cruel I can be."

She turned to Dominick, "Take him to the black market, let them take a kidney from him."

Benjamin's heart raced in terror. "Nathalie, I was wrong. I'll never contact you again..."

With that, he hoisted Cameron up, and they stumbled away in haste.

Nathalie just scoffed and walked off with Dominick.

Once back in the car, Dominick hesitantly asked, "Boss, do you really want his kidney?"

Nathalie replied, "He owes me, and he'll pay up. But, not just yet."noveldrama

Dominick wiped the cold sweat from his forehead: Truly, a woman's fury is not to be underestimated.

A few days later, Cameron sent word

than agent: he was willing to

sell Dawson Estate to Nathalie at

half price.

Nathalie was momentarily taken aback by the news. Cameron, the shrewd businessman, was suddenly giving in to her?

Unable to figure out why, she decided to shrug it off.

She instructed Dominick, "Go buy

the Dawson Estate. Once the

workers to clear it out and devel

contract is signed, get some

everything. I want a fresh start."

"Yes."

Dominick headed out.

Rumble... Rumble...

Thunder cracked open the sky.

In no time, a heavy downpour began, pouring like beans from the heavens.

The ground was soaked in an instant, with water pooling in the low spots.

It was the biggest rainstorm since the start of the year.

It felt like someone, after holding back for so long, finally let their tears flow freely.

Nathalie stood by the floor-to-ceiling

window, watching the rain wash

over the trees, flowers, and

buildings. It felt like a spring shower had cleansed her heart, taking away all her unrequited love, bitterness, and resentment.

She finally let go of her burdens, feeling lighter and free.
