Revenge is Best Served… After Reborn

Chapter 1916

That night, my uncle had a bit too much to drink, and Alec and I managed to snag a mysterious potion from him.

Once we got home, we were both itching to figure out what this intriguing elixir could do. I was all for taking a swig right away, but Alec wasn't so sure about drinking something with unknown origins. He thought it might be some fancy aroma oil, judging by its tantalizing scent.

Neither of us was backing down, so we settled our little debate with a game of rock-paper-scissors. No surprise, I won, so Alec had to go along with my plan.

We each took a sip, polishing off the bottle in no time. The taste was definitely strange, but not awful.

"Feel anything?" I asked.

"Nope, you?" Alec replied.

"Nothing on my end either."

We both felt the same-absolutely nothing. Alec sighed, "I told you, we should've just used it as an aroma oil."noveldrama

But soon enough, we started feeling sleepy. Just before I dozed off, I muttered, "Great, no one mentioned this was a sleeping potion."

And with that, I was out like a light.

I had the weirdest dream. I found myself in Devonport, twenty years ago. The place was bustling, but the buildings had a retro vibe. And guess what? Alec was

there too.

"Are we dreaming?" I wondered aloud, taking in the sights.

Alec frowned, "Why are we dreaming together? This is so weird." "Who cares? This place is pretty awesome."

Turns out, our uncle had a sleeping potion with some magical kick to it. In this dream world, we were seeing Devonport as it was two decades ago. Qur modern clothes got us quite a few curious stares. Alec was on edge, keeping me close as if to shield us from any trouble.

While we were walking down a busy street, an ad featuring a man flashed above us. knew him right away. He was in a photo in my mom's room, among pictures of her friends. Mom said his name was Reece, a famous actor back in the day. But he had passed away.

"That's Reece, Mom's old friend!” I exclaimed, pointing at the billboard. I was taken aback by how big he was, having such a massive ad. "NO wonder he was one of Mom's best friends."

"Are you nuts? He's already gone, so how are we...," Alec's voice faded as he realized we were in Devonport twenty years ago. Back then, neither of us was even born.

This Devonport was foreign to us. The Devonport we knew, twenty years ahead, was our home. But here, none of it felt like ours.

"Alec, do you think I could meet Mom? She was supposedly a stunner back then!"

I tugged on Alec's arm, excitement bubbling over. Alec seemed to feel my excitement too, caught up in the moment.
