Chapter 695 Things Will Work out
William felt like dreaming. He asked for one billion dollars only, but he could have seventy billion! It was
too good to be true. He thought he was in his dreams!
"I'm talking to you, William. Are you listening?" said Laura.
William pinched himself to make sure he wasn't dreaming, "OK. I want all my money! Now!"
Abbott knitted his eyebrows and was worried that William would be totally screwed once he got the
money. But he understood Laura's decision and had to agree. They couldn't transfer seventy billion
dollars to William's account at one time. So, they gave him ten billion first.
William got rich overnight. He got the money and left. No one knew where he had gone.
Laura looked at Abbott, "You can't keep the money for him all time. He's not twelve years old. He won't
really grow if you keep overprotecting him like that."
Abbott sighed and said, "I know."
Laura patted him on the shoulder.
Sophia had heard about William shortly. Cathy had gone back to him since he got seventy billion
dollars, trying to please him in every way. Bella went to him for more money. In fact, she had got two
billion dollars, which she thought was nothing when compared with seventy billion.
Unexpectedly, William had paid the killer to beat Bella up, and Bella called the police. Sophia and
William met again in the prison.
William was bailed out and said in rage, "That bitch has put me into prison for more than once. I swear
she'll be sorry for it!"
"Forget it, Uncle William. So much for you and Bella!" convinced Sophia.
"Not on her life! She's got her money but still kept bothering me! How could she do that? She must
learn her lesson!"
"Is it necessary?" said Sophia impatiently.
"Absolutely!" This is property © NôvelDrama.Org.
It finally dawned on Sophia that man lived for money, which was the root of all evils!
But to her surprise, William got the money and got carried away! He had even hired the killer to finish
Bella.
Bella wasn't dead but seriously injured. She was in a coma and had no relatives, so William had got
away with it. But Abbott must lecture William for such a thing.
"What were you thinking, William? You hired a killer to take Bella's life? Are you crazy? Aren't you
afraid of being killed some day?"
William wasn't the wuss again. He got balls and answered, "No worries, Abbott. I'm rich. I can hire
more bodyguards."
Abbott shook his head, "Some presidents got very good mercenaries to protect them, but guess what?
They were still assassinated!"
"Easy, Abbott! You're safe and sound, aren't you?"
Abbott was choked by his words.
William cut him dead and went back to his business.
Abbott sighed, thinking Laura was right that William had to learn and grow and pay for what he had
done! He would just let him go!
The old Mrs. Lawson had rested well recently and got much better. Her birthday was around the corner.
Sophia felt sorry that she hadn't celebrated her grandma's birthday for years and thought of giving her
a big party. All the noted public figures in Sealand and Pinkerton would be invited.
"Honestly speaking, Sophia, I once thought of having a big party on my 66th or 88th birthday, and being
the center of attention in the hall, where people would congratulate me and got jealous of me. But I
don't want it now. I just want you kids to be around." said the old Mrs. Lawson.
Sophia could feel that the old Mrs. Lawson had changed a lot, and could see more human touch and
family bond in her.
"OK, Grandma. It's OK if you don't want a big party. But we must dine out and celebrate IT."
"No problem. By the way, tell Bella to join us. She's divorced William, but she's been part of the Lawson
family for over twenty years. Tell her to join us for dinner." the old Mrs. Lawson nodded.
Sophia thought of it and said, "Grandma, Bella... is in hospital!"
The old Mrs. Lawson looked at her surprisingly, "Oh my god! What happened? Is she ill?"
"No. No... She..." Sophia hesitated.
"William has something to do with it, right? What did he do this time? Tell me! I can take it!"
She said she could take it, but she was already trembling with anger.
In the end, Sophia told her everything. The old Mrs. Lawson got so mad that she was nearly out of
breath.
Sophia fetched her the medicine immediately.
"Relax, Grandma! Things will work out!"
"Lord! That is my son! He's rotten to the core! Punish me, God!" the old Mrs. Lawson felt awful.
"Don't worry. Uncle William would be carried away for some time, but he'll back in track soon."
The old Mrs. Lawson shook her head, "He won't realize his mistakes until he spends all his money.
Sophia, please look out for him! Don't let him screw up again, OK? Please!"
"I'll do my best!"
The old Mrs. Lawson nodded and went to bed, then Sophia left her room.
As the old saying goes, each family has its own problems. Clearly, William was the black sheep of the
Lawson family. There were tons of rumors on him out there, and Sophia just didn't bother to care. But
out of her expectation, someone called to tell her that William had raped a girl.
That was something serious. What made it worse was the media had started to pay attention to it.
Sophia and Drake made it there as soon as they heard about it.
The journalists were waiting for them at the door and couldn't wait to interview them the moment they
arrived.
"Mr. Riley. Mrs. Riley, I hear it's your Uncle William inside. I wanna like to ask if he's married with kid.
Did he cheat on his wife?"
"Mrs. Riley, what kind of person is your Uncle William? Has he raped before?"
"Mrs. Riley, your Uncle William has raped a girl. What will you do?"
Sophia didn't feel like answering any of these tough questions. Drake stepped out for her rescue,
"Excuse us. If any of you dare ask one more stupid question, be ready to get the sack!"
