It was late at night. Eurasia's president, Nathan, was sound asleep.

He had a nightmare.

In his dream, Hanson and his two thousand warriors were being attacked by countless vampires in a foreign country.

They fought with all their might. Needless to say, it was an intense battle.

One by one, the War Gods of Eurasia dropped to the ground, lifeless. In the end, even Hanson was slaughtered by an elite vampire.

The moment Hanson's head was chopped off, Nathan jolted up in bed.

Nathan's forehead was drenched in cold sweat as he looked around and realized he was still in his bed. It dawned on him that it was all just a nightmare, as he noticed it was still dark outside.

"Oh, it was a nightmare. I must've been too worried in the day."

Nathan stood up and walked over to the table in his pajamas, intending to take a sip of the cold tea.

Suddenly, the door opened with a creak, and a gust of chilly air swept into the bedroom.

Surprise crossed Nathan's face. Before he could figure out what happened, a tall military officer walked into the bedroom.

The tall and handsome man was none other than Hanson.

Nathan gaped incredulously when he saw Hanson in front of him. He blurted out, "Hanson, what are you doing here? I thought you were fighting vampires with the Peacekeeping Forces in another country. When did you come back? Why don't I know about your return?"

Hanson told him, "President Cross, I am here to say goodbye."

Nathan was confused. "Say goodbye? Why? Where are you going?"

"To theher world," came Hanson's reply.

Nathan gasped in shock. "What?"

"The two thousand warriors under my lead died after we got attacked by the vampire. Our comrades suffered a terrible demise, yet their spirits still linger in the ancient ruins of Musbane. If you ever have the chance to visit this sacred place, you will feel the howling winds. Know that our fallen comrades are there to greet you."

With that, he retreated step by step.

Nathan's expression fell as he cried out, "Wait, don't leave! I don't understand. I have questions for you."

He reached out to grab Hanson's hand, but his hands closed on empty air.

Hanson had vanished into thin air.

"Hanson!" Nathan panicked instantly.

Suddenly, Penny's voice rang out beside him. "Hubby, what's wrong? Did you have a nightmare? Why did you call Hanson's name?"

Nathan snapped out of his trance and realized his surroundings had changed.

He was still lying in bed, and Penny was gazing at him anxiously beside him.

Nathan reached out to hold Penny's hand, taking in the warmth. Only then did he realize he had a dream within a dream.

Penny helped him sit up.

Concerned, she asked, "What's wrong? I heard you talking in your sleep. You were calling Hanson's name. I've never seen you do that."

Nathan shook his head, trying to dispel the image from his mind. "It's nothing. I just had a nightmare. In my dream, the Tarragon Forces were all wiped out, and Hanson appeared to say goodbye to me as a ghost."

Penny's expression changed slightly. She quickly comforted him, “You must be very worried about the situation with the Tarragon Forces to have such a nightmare. But didn't Colonel Taggart send news a few days ago reporting victory? He managed to kill the vampires and protect the local people."

Nathan responded slowly, "I hope it's just a nightmare."

Right after he said that, hurried footsteps sounded outside the room. Ava's voice soon rang out. "President Cross, Sage Tomlinson from the Headquarters of the Chief Military Governor is here. He has an urgent matter to report."

Nathan's stomach dropped as he experienced a feeling of dread and apprehension.

He boomed, "Tell him to wait for me in the study room. I'll get changed and meet him soon."

"Yes, sir!" Ava replied.

Shortly after, Nathan hurried to the study room after he got changed.

Sage was waiting for him anxiously inside.

Upon seeing Nathan, he strode over

and reported, President Cross, I have bad news. the situation in Adrune has taken a turn for the worse. The vampires have been merciless in their efforts, leading to the complete destruction of some small countries. Our brave warriors, including Colonel Taggart, who we sent to restore peace, have made the ultimate sacrifice with their lives."

What?

Nathan blanched in horror when he realized his nightmare had come true.
