Chapter 29 Daddy is Good
Chapter 29 Daddy is Good
Rebecca stood at the door of the ward, looking at her with their heads tilted, shining with a glimmer of
hope in her eyes.
Matilda pressed her lips, feeling herself cruel.
No mother could have been so cruel to leave her children and lived a happy life, without caring what
the children thought and whether they missed her or not.
She stepped forward to hug Rebecca and said in a low voice, “I am sorry.”
Like a little adult, Rebecca touched Matilda's hair and comforted her.
“Mommy, I am doing very well, really. Daddy looks fierce, but he loves us very much.”
Rebecca said. Although at the beginning she was afraid and stayed with Samuel in fear every day, but
after getting along for a long time, she found that her father was the most powerful father in the world.
He would take them to play the pirate ride, and would carefully pick out the fish bones for her at dinner.
Although he looked fierce, he would take care of everything for her and her brother...He would fight his
life to save her.
Because of the special experience, Rebecca was more mature than the children at her age. After
getting along with Samuel, she knew though he had a cold face, he loved her and her brother.
As for Samuel locked her in the room and threatened to throw her into the water, she had long
forgotten as she got along with him for more than a year.
Matilda held Rebecca into the ward, put her on the bed, and said nothing about that Rebecca
desperately spoke for Samuel.
She sat down by the bed, picked up a pear and began to peel it.
Seeing that her mother seemed not have been touched, Rebecca pressed her lips and swallowed her
words.
As the day of the operation approached, Samuel became more and more nervous.
He made many trips to the hospital every day, so he bought two beds next door to Matilda and brought
his work directly to the hospital.
At the same time, he sent all the things to please a woman to Matilda's ward.
Sometimes Matilda would find a bouquet of roses lying by the door with a card with a sweet note
written on it when she woke up in the morning.
Sometimes when she was strolling in the Garden, Samuel would give her a box of chocolates wrapped
in a heart shape...
Matilda shook her head. In the past, she would have been happy for a whole year to get a stone from
him not to mention chocolates.
She was older and would not be touched by this easily.
In the end, half of the chocolates went into Sidney's mouth. Samuel was so angry that he wanted to
beat his ass, but was stopped by Matilda.
The picture of a family of four getting along happily and harmoniously hurt Aaron who came over to
visit.
That evening, Matilda met Aaron in the garden, who was looking at her silently.
Samuel raised his eyebrow, blocking in front of Matilda in a domineering way.
Sidney followed suit, standing in front of Matilda with his chest up.
He did not know Aaron, so it didn’t matter what attitude he had.
Matilda twitched the corners of her mouth, pushing them apart, and said, “What's the mess? See a
biological weapon?”
Samuel said faintly, “I would not be so nervous if it is a biological weapon.”
Matilda stared at him and he shut his mouth, but his momentum was powerful that no one dared to
come forward.
Aaron stood five paces away from Matilda and said to her with a wry smile, “I should have never
agreed to send you back.”
Matilda opened her mouth, but before she could say anything, Samuel said, “You should be grateful
that you had sent her back, or --”
Samuel squinted his eyes. If he found it out, he would not be so nice.
Matilda patted his hand and said angrily to Samuel, “What are you talking about?”
Then he turned to Aaron and said, “Aaron, I'm sorry, he has been talking in such a bad attitude.”
Aaron felt choke in throat and unexpectedly he did not know what to say.
Before leaving the United States, she swore that she would ignore Samuel, but now she apologized to
him like a member of his family.
‘Matilda, who are you to apologize to me for him?’
But Matilda didn't realize what was wrong with her words. Instead, she looked back at Samuel and
warned him, “Don't talk nonsense next time.”
That tone was like Samuel as her family.
Aaron's look changed and he finally said, “Matilda, I want to talk to you.”
“No!” Samuel had shut up stood out again, looking at Aaron sharply, wishing this person immediately
disappear.
Aaron seemed not to notice his provocation at all and just smiled at Matilda.
Matilda stiffed for a while, and finally patted Samuel's back and said, “Take Sidney back and I will be
there later.”
Samuel stood still, and his eyes were cold as ice. From NôvelDrama.Org.
Matilda had to make a straight face and said, “Are you going or not?”
Samuel had to pick up Sidney and walked away with a sullen face. Before leaving, he did not forget to
warn Aaron ruthlessly.
Aaron would not be afraid of his warning but only smiled. When he walked away, he fixed his eyes on
Matilda's face.
Matilda turned her neck, looking up at the sky and looking down at her toes, but not looking at Aaron.
They were silent for a long time until Aaron asked the first question.
“Matilda, do you regret it?”
“What?” Her face ran blank and she asked the most stupid question. “For what?”
After asking the question, she realized that she wanted to sew her mouth shut.
But it was too late.
Aaron went on.
“I faked your death and brought you to United State without your permission leaving Rebecca. And you
did not have the chance to meet the child you just gave birth to --”
“Well,” Matilda said, touching her nose, “that was to save me. I didn't take it seriously.”
“I forced you to convalesce in United State --”
“I know you did that for my own good.”
“I kept you in the dark about Rebecca was looking for matching type, required you to follow me back to
the United States after the operation and broke off all contacts with Samuel......”
Matilda was silent. She did not know what to say at this moment.
“Matilda, you must think I'm mean.” Standing in front of her Aaron suddenly raised his hand and said in
a sobbing voice.
