Stop, Your Grace!

Chapter 12 Lets keep her till the full moon night

Melody turned pale and huddled with fear.

“Sir, killing her is not the best solution.” Donald took Kevin’s hand. “I do have an idea. Maybe I can try.”

“Say it!”

“In two days there will be a full moon night. Let’s try her again. Otherwise… we’ll find another way.” Donald suggested.

Since it had happened on a full moon night, it would be better to do it again. If possible, no matter how chicanery Melody tried, she would not escape.

Kevin seemed to listen to what he said, and the muzzle drew a circle on Melody’s white face. “You’d better stay with me honestly these two days, otherwise, you will suffer.”

When the words fell, he put away his gun and turned to leave domineering.

Melody lay prone on the bed, his forehead covered with fine sweat and his body weak.

“Miss Lowe, are you all right?” asked Donald.

Melody shook her head, but could not say a word. This was the first time she had seen a gun, and she was terrified.

Knowing that she was frightened, Donald began to comfort her and said, “It’s okay. Kevin was just threatening you. You have been obedient these two days, and when the full moon comes, all the answers will be clear.”

“What do you want me to do?” Melody asked helplessly.

Donald gently explained: “This matter is complicated because it is related to Kevin’s illness. People hardly know about it.”

“Illness?”

What disease can that gentleman have? Manic?

“Yes! Miss Lowe, you don’t have to be afraid. If you are really not the one who broke into the castle at the beginning, we will naturally let you go.”

Melody was puzzled by Donald’s last remark.

Kevin is not really manic, is he?

It seems that he is really irritable and always loses his temper.

In the future, it is better to provoke less. In case he gets angry, it is also very possible to shoot himself with a gun!

For the next two days, Melody obediently hid in the room, eating, drinking, pulling and scattering all inside, for fear of provoking the gentleman again.

Night fell.

Melody had a nightmare and woke up from it at midnight. Her body was covered in cold sweat.

In the dream, a wolf-like man constantly invaded her body. The pain of the final sprint made her feel too real. The dream was like what she had experienced…

However, from beginning to end, she did not see the man clearly. She only remembered that his eyes were green and they were a wolf’s eyes.

Damn it, how could she have such a dream…RêAd lat𝙚St chapters at Novel(D)ra/ma.Org Only

Melody took a deep breath and patted her cheek. “Wake up, this is just a dream!”

Melody uncovered the quilt and got out of bed.

In need of water to drink, Melody was surprised to find that there was not a of water left in the room.

It was ridiculous to be trapped for two days without drinking water.

Desperately longing for water, Melody went out. It was midnight anyway. Melody did not expect to be caught by Kevin.

Wishing to get luck, Melody passed through the long corridor, and every place she passed was luxurious. The walls were decorated with exquisite paintings. She knew that the value of these paintings could not be measured by money.

Damn capitalists!

As Melody was cursing silently, she was inadvertently attracted by the light from a door.

Who is still awake in the middle of the night?

Through the crack of the door, Melody gently probed into the room. There was no one in the room, but the large and luxurious book wall attracted her.

“Wow, what a big bookcase…”

For the first time, Melody, who loved reading, saw so many books. The study was much bigger and more spectacular than the school library.

Gently pushing the door, Melody tiptoed in and stood in front of the book wall. Melody exclaimed, “It’s all books…”

With a glance, Melody was shocked to see the names of those books. These were not ordinary books, they were all books issued in limited quantities and could not be bought by ordinary people…

It was really an eye-opener that these books were actually collected in the castle.

Out of curiosity, Melody climbed up the wooden ladder, stretched out her hand and pulled out one of the ancient books before opening the first page. Then she heard a low male voice behind her, “What are you doing?”

Melody was shocked. But when she hurried back, she was even more frightened and accidentally fell off the wooden ladder…

“Ahhhh!”
