Mia pondered for a moment and shook her head. "I covered a lot of the material last year and feel like I've got a good handle on what the teachers taught. Plus, last year, everyone knew Mrs. Cedillo was me. Going back now wouldn't be as effective. I think I'm better off studying on my own, though I do need to work on my self-discipline. Besides, I've got my thesis to prepare. With enough time, I can manage my schedule better."

Andre tucked the blanket snugly around them and pulled their little one into his arms, placing a book on Henry's lap for him to flip through. "If that's how you feel, then let's stick with it. You can study from home this year."

Mia picked up her phone to message Jamie about her decision. Beside her, Andre and Henry were already settled against the headboard, one engrossed in reading, the other happily flipping pages.

Jamie had already planned to study at Havenbrook, following Mia's lead on whether to enroll in classes. With Mia opting for self-study, he decided to skip the classes too.

Later that night, as Mia lay down, she said, "It's nice that Evie is coming too. With her here, I won't feel so alone.

Henry, snug under the blankets, turned his little head from side to side. Hearing his mom talk, he started babbling like a tiny chatterbox.

The room gradually darkened and fell silent, with Henry drifting off to sleep to the gentle rhythm of his mom's pats.

Chad had been swamped lately, often not making it home at night and only returning every few days. Sometimes, he'd steal a glance at his still-sleeping wife, leave a quick kiss, and rush out again.

Annie had this love-hate thing going on. When he was around, she'd get annoyed; when he wasn't, she'd worry. Recently, Conner had mentioned that his sweetie was unwell and promised to take Annie for a visit, but then he went quiet. Later, he messaged, "Annie, something came up, and I had to dash back to Newtown. I'll take you to see her when I'm back."

Annie's first instinct was to worry.

Mischievous Henry was outside soaking up the sun with Grandpa, a routine his dad had set.

Before heading to work that

So, Hansen took his grandson out into the yard, watching him zoom around.

Henry dashed over to Grandpa's green garden. Because he was so tiny, he disappeared behind the hedge. Hansen had to call out, "Henry, my little guy, where'd you go?"

Finding him was a bit of a challenge

due to his height, and Hansen realized another issue. To hold his grandson's hand, he'd have to bend down, but his old bones weren't too keen on that. Yet, he couldn't not hold onto him because, in a flash, the little rascal would vanish again.
