Chapter 1300
At this moment, the movie on the screen showed a scene where something spooky was lurking under the airplane seats, hunting for its next target...
Suddenly, Mia's heart jumped into her throat. "I swear, something's touching me." Molly gulped, "Don't freak me out. I feel like something's tugging on my blanket too."
Anya, too scared to even twitch her legs, chimed in, "Yeah, I felt it too."
The three ladies were huddled around a small tray table, deeply engrossed in a movie, which conveniently blocked their view of little Henry sneaking in. They were so wrapped up in the film that they didn't notice the tiny human squirming around.
But there was Henry, beneath them, pulling at their blankets, just trying to get closer to his mom.
The movie paused, and Mia took a closer look at the sensation on her leg. "I know who this little troublemaker is!"
Who else but her sweet son would climb up on her lap, craving hugs and cuddles?
Once the tray table was folded away, Henry peeked up with a grin as bright as a candy bar, beaming at his mom, "Mommy!"noveldrama
Mia sighed, "You trying to scare me to death, huh? What's in it for you?"
Henry pouted, seeking attention, "Mommy, I wanna nap!"
Mia's heart slowed back to normal. She bent down, scooped him up, slipped off his tiny shoes, and cuddled him close. "Alright, alright, sleep tight. Mommy's got you."
A little later, another little one from the Byrne family was also getting fussy.
Chad, unable to calm him down, handed him over. "Molly, do you think he's hungry?"
Molly got up, took her son, and draped a blanket over her shoulder for privacy. She skillfully opened her shirt to nurse him.
Sure enough, Wayne started eagerly searching for his "meal."
"Still breastfeeding?" Mia asked.
Molly replied, "Yeah, he's a bit picky with food. Chad and I decided to wait until he's ten months old to wean him."
Henry, like his mom, had a great appetite, wasn't fussy, and was strong and active. He was weaned
at six months and thrived on
formula, all chubby and healthy.
Both kids were asleep in their moms' arms in no time.
After a long flight of over ten hours, it was 8 p.m. in Eldoria, and the older folks headed off to bed first.
Outside, the sky was dark, with the moon hanging like a bright little cannonball.
Henry woke up, explored the airplane again, and eventually got tired, settling down on his dad's lap for another nap.
Wayne yawned, looking at Chad and calling him "Daddy" over and over.
With the place packed, the younger adults crashed on the sofas outside, leaving the bedrooms for the elders, out of respect and care for their "daughters" and the kids.
That left a room free, so the women settled in there, while the young men made
do with sleeping on chairs outside.
It was midnight.
Molly snuggled with her son, both having a peaceful sleep, while Mia and Anya lay on the other side.
Henry had been sleeping in the bedroom too, but when he saw his dad didn't have a bed, he insisted on sticking with him, wanting to share the tough times.
In the end, Andre flattened his chair and held his son close. Even though it was a
bit cramped, Henry slept soundly next to his dad.
Leo, Cooper, Chad, and the others were also sleeping outside.
Seeing this, Chad started chatting with Andre, "Andre, doesn't Henry's gesture
just warm your heart?"
What do you think?
