The two men might have been in different places, but they spoke in perfect sync: "I'll come pick you and the kid up."

The two women just stared at each other. "Wait, what? So now that we're married, we lose all our freedom? Are we supposed to come home every single night just to prove we're loyal wives? Miss one evening, and suddenly you think we're out having affairs? I've got your son with me, by the way!"

Andre tried to play it cool. "No, seriously, I just worry about you two being safe."

Mia rolled her eyes. "Was that supposed to be shade?"

Andre clammed up.

Chad cut in, "I just don't want you causing trouble for the Irvin family."

Molly raised an eyebrow. "So, you think I'm a troublemaker now?"

Officer Chad decided it was best to keep quiet, too.

Five minutes later, they hung up. The two women strolled back, still grinning.

"You think we blew our cover?" Molly whispered.

Mia shook her head. "Nope. Did you?"

Molly shook her head, too.

Perfect. They could keep being best friends.

Meanwhile, at the Cedillo house...

The two men found themselves together in the living room. "Bet they're at the Irvin place," Chad guessed.

Andre shook his head. "Nah, probably at the Byrnes'."

See? They both knew if their wives weren't home by now, something fishy was up.

They sat down, trying to figure out where the women had gone.

"It's definitely not the Irvins, and not the Byrnes either," Andre said.

Andre muttered, "If only Leo were home. That kid's got a tracker."

Just then, Anya's phone started buzzing.

She looked at the screen like it was about to burn her hand. "Aunt Molly, Aunt Mia, what do I say? Chad's calling, too."

Leo had been waiting at home,

getting more annoyed by the minute. When no one showed up, he started worrying that Anya might run into troubleon her walk from school. He drove around the school a few times, never spotted her, and finally hit call.

Molly said, "Pick up. Put it on speaker."

Anya answered, and Leo's voice came in loud and clear. "What, did you lose someone?"

"Hey, Chad. Uh, tonight, I-"

Aimee whispered, "Just be bold. If you sound tough, he'll back off."

Anya, the resident goody two-shoes who couldn't lie to save her life, stammered, "Chad, I'm not coming home tonight."

Leo sounded suspicious. "Your boyfriend's not deaf, you know. Who was that lady just now?"

Mia jumped in, smooth as ever. "Oh, just a friend from out of town visiting. Molly and I are both home, and we invited Anya over-thought it'd be fun."

Leo narrowed his eyes. "You two invited my chubby Ms. Anya over for a party?"

Molly grinned. "What, you don't believe us? If you're so worried, come pick Anya up at the Cedillo house."

They knew Leo wouldn't bother, so the sisters made sure he couldn't fetch Anya even if he wanted to.

After the call, Leo frowned. "A party at the Cedillo house?"

He'd known these women forever. No way were they at home throwing a party. They weren't exactly the stay-at-home, let's-get-cozy kind especially not with their husbands around. And with seniors and kids at home? Not exactly the wild party vibe.

Leo pulled up his tracking app and saw the two blinking dots. He smirked. "Cedillo house? I won't bother. But I can still get into that fancy gated community if I want

to."

With that, he started the car and headed toward the dots.

Meanwhile, the women were having the time of their lives. They'd already picked

out their rooms and were buzzing with excitement.

Molly whipped out her phone. "Okay, time for takeout!" She scrolled through the delivery apps, then passed her phone around so everyone could add their favorites. Little Henry jumped in, and pretty soon the phone was in his tiny hands.

Henry hugged the phone with both hands, tapping away proudly. "All done! Food's coming!"
