Chapter 85 First Aid Treatment (Part One)
Chapter 85 First Aid Treatment (Part One)
Fiona's brain went completely blank. As she froze with her eyes wide open, all she could see was
Spencer's handsome face. She felt dizzy and her face turned red. She tried to push Spencer away, but
this only made him more aggressive.
They were too immersed in the kiss that neither of them noticed the man outside by the window. It was
Charles.
There was a curious look in his eyes as he watched the two of them. He looked as Spencer held Fiona,
but he couldn't see her face from where he stood.
It was all so strange! Once he learned that Spencer had taken Fiona to the ward, Charles had dropped
by on impulse to check up on her. But he certainly didn't expect what he saw.
Nevertheless, he tried to pretend that he didn't care. He already knew certain things about Fiona, like
how Spencer dragged her to the Civil Affairs Bureau to register their marriage. He had initially wanted
to use her against Spencer, but had that intention changed? Unconsciously, he was beginning to want
to know more about Fiona.
Charles watched them with an uncharacteristic curious expression. But soon enough, his eyes
regained their steely gaze as his brows furrowed. There was no way he wanted anything more to do
with Fiona! Ambitious people who were bound for great achievements must not be dragged down by
love. Besides, he was just a little interested in her, nothing more.
"Let... go of me..."
Fiona yelled.
But the words Fiona struggled to say were swallowed by Spencer in a kiss.
Thinking that Spencer was going crazy, she put up her fists and pounded on his chest.
"Don't move!"
It was as if a century had passed before he finally let her go. He looked at her with dissatisfaction as if
he was blaming her for ruining this moment.
With one hand on his chest, Fiona took a deep breath, trying to regain her composure. When she
raised her head to look at Spencer, she felt her face turn red.
Excluding the previous peck they had shared, this was Fiona's first kiss. It lacked the shyness and
awkwardness of the first one; it was nothing but hot and passionate!
"Go away!" She pushed him on the shoulder as she turned away. But despite using all of her strength,
her shove was too limp that it looked like she was just playing hard to get.
Spencer found this reaction amusing, but he pretended to be angry. "Go away? Where do you want me
to go? Was your punishment not enough? Do you want to try it again?" Just then, his rough thumb
caressed her soft lips.
'A punishment?' Fiona thought. 'Kissing me was a punishment?'
Fiona's face turned pale. "You make me sick, Spencer."
He quickly withdrew his hand as he felt his heart sank. "I make you sick?"
"The most disgusting thing I've ever done in my life was sleep with you and kiss you." Fiona glared at
him. Her words shattered the romantic atmosphere in the room.
He pinched Fiona's chin with his hand. With a dark look on his face, he said in a gloomy tone, "You're
getting bolder and bolder. You think you can go to I Country with Ryan, don't you? Don't be silly, Fiona!
There's no way I'd divorce you. You're not leaving me! For the rest of your life, you'll belong with me.
Let's see who dares show interest in you!"
"How shameless of you!" Fiona gritted her teeth.
"I've always been shameless." A cruel smile played on his lips. He then leaned towards her with his
eyes closed to hide the hurt expression in them. He wanted nothing more but to kiss her again. But
right at that moment, the door opened behind them. A voice said, "Did I interrupt anything?"
Fiona and Spencer froze at the same time.
Spencer's lips had been barely a centimeter away from hers but he turned with narrowed eyes. The
voice annoyed him. A man stood by the door with a smirk on his face. It was Charles.
He walked in casually, but his fists were clenched tightly behind his back. He had planned to leave, but
seeing that Spencer was going to kiss Fiona again, he pushed the door open, intentionally interrupting
them.
Fiona trembled at the sight of Charles. She was very embarrassed to have been caught kissing
Spencer. If only the floor would open and swallow her whole. She lowered her head and tried to look
occupied, ironing out the wrinkles on her clothes with her hands.
"I'm leaving!" Fiona said in a low voice when she raised her head. She looked extremely
uncomfortable.
"No." Spencer held her wrist tightly. He then turned his gaze to Charles. It was the first time he'd seen
him up close.
Charles looked handsome in his well-tailored suit. A smile sat on his lips, but no one could tell what
was on his mind. He resembled Ryan very much, but his appearance was much more mature. His
manners were sophisticated and very upper class, which only showed that he was well-educated.
Spencer made his silent judgment of Charles, while the latter kept his eyes steady on him.Nôvel/Dr(a)ma.Org - Content owner.
Spencer was a man no one ever said no to. But when Fiona turned down his kiss, he acted like a
spoiled child. 'Just how important are you to him, Fiona?' Charles wondered. 'Could she be Spencer's
only weakness?'
"Charles Wen?" It was Spencer who broke the silence.
"Yes." With a playful smile on his face, Charles nodded and greeted, "Nice to meet you, Mr. Cheng. I've
heard a lot about you." He stepped forward and offered him his hand.
"I've heard a lot about you, too," Spencer said as they politely shook hands.
It was the first time Fiona heard Spencer greet anyone politely. He looked very strange to her just then.
"How unexpected to see you here," Spencer said as he cast a meaningful glance at Fiona.
Realizing what was going on, Charles merely smiled as he turned to her. "I worried that Fiona must be
terrified by what happened at the airport, so I came here to check up on her. But I'm glad to see that
she looks fine. Ryan hasn't woken up. I wanted to tell her not to worry too much."
"I see." "Thank you, Mr. Wen," Fiona replied gently.
"It seems that you care for my wife a lot, Mr. Wen," Spencer said in a cold voice.
