The Baby’s Mother Need Love

Chapter 18

Chapter 18

18. Boring

“I’m full!” Fia patted her bulging belly and slid down from the chair. She threw herself into Jessie’s arms.” Aunt Jeje, I want to watch cartoons!”

Felix also put down the empty milk cup, indicating that he had finished it.

Jessie carried Fia in her arms, “If father is not home, is there anyone else in your family?”

Felix rushed to answer, “No one else!”

Fia turned her head and looked at him in confusion.

Felix winked at her.

The siblings quickly reached an agreement. Fia giggled and hugged Jessie’s neck even tighter. “Dad didn’t come back. There was only me and brother at home.”

Jessie remembered what the little fellow had said just now. “Then who was the one who prepared the unpleasant dinner for you?”

Felix’s little handsome face did not change. “A temporary maid. She went home after she finished cooking.”

Seeing the two children pitifully waiting for her father at home, Jessie felt her heart ache again. “Your father’s heart is really big.”

Such two children, he actually let them stay at home alone. Was he not afraid that something unexpected would happen?

Fia did not understand the meaning behind Jessie’s words and laughed along with her. “Yes, my father is especially high up. His heart must be bigger than everyone else’s.”

Jessie could not help but laugh.

Felix was speechless and covered his face.

He really wanted to ask his foolish sister to speak less when she had nothing better to do.

“Then let’s wait a little longer. Fia wants to watch cartoons, right? Then let’s go to lounge and watch.” Jessie was about to bring them to the room where the employees rest.

The glass door of the coffee shop was pushed open.

A tall and stalwart man strode in.

He was dressed in a pure black suit, a pure white shirt, a dark tie, and his short hair was neat and tidy. He should have come from some formal occasion.

His handsome features and his extraordinary aura immediately attracted the attention of everyone in the coffee shop

The female shop assistant beside Jessie could not help but startle. “My God, I must have seen a god, right? So handsome, so handsome!”

The man’s sharp and cold eyes swept around the shop and landed directly on the pair of children in Jessie’s arms and legs. He strode towards them.

Fia turned her head and saw her father. She hid her little head even deeper into Jessie’s arms.

Felix was also not much better than her. The key was that at this moment, Alex’s expression was even scarier than his usual serious expression. He wanted to pretend to be strong but his little heart was

beating rapidly. He also cowered and hid behind Jessie.

Jessie saw the reaction of the two children and instinctively turned her head to look at the door.

Seeing the deep and handsome face of the man, the gentle smile on her face froze into ice. Text © 2024 NôvelDrama.Org.

While she was in a daze, he had already stood in front of her.

The man was very tall. She needed to raise her head to look at him. Her voice was trembling. “What are you doing here?”

He thought that by helping her in the hotel, she would forgive his shamelessness that night. He even chased her to where she worked!

Alex stared at her coldly and shouted in a low voice, “Felix Laurent, Fia Laurent, get over here!”

With his berating, the two little fellows were extremely afraid.

One by one, they reluctantly walked over from Jessie’s protective circle with their little heads buried, and weakly said, “Father.”

Jessie became rigid when she called him father,

Alex took a step forward.

Jessie was so scared by his oppressive aura that she staggered backwards.

Alex’s deep face was like a Northem Grade ice: “If you take another step closer to the two of them, you will never be able to bear the consequences!”

Jessie was stunned by his warning.

Alex grabbed a child with one hand and led them out of the coffee shop quickly.

His legs were long and the two little fellows were dragged by him. Along the way, they stumbled. From time to time, they looked back at Jessie and Fia’s eyes were still filled with tears.

The glass door slammed shut again.

“Jessie, even deities and men have children? But what does the words he said to you mean?” A female shop assistant asked Jessie in puzzlement.

Jessie only came back to her senses and a wave of anger was bom from it.

She suddenly pushed open the glass door and quickly chased after them. She immediately blocked in front of the man and angrily questioned, “What do you mean? Are you saying that I brought your children here? It is you, as a father, who is not responsible. You made the children have nowhere to go, and you came to the coffee shop to find me. I also called you right away, but you didn’t pick up -.”

Alex had already sent the children into the car and closed the car door. He turned around and interrupted her with a cold smile. “You deliberately approached them in the hospital. They only came to find you because you did them a favor. Aren‘t you scheming to get close to me again? Miss Jessie. I think you misunderstood something. I helped you get the house in front of your ex-husband in the hotel. It doesn’t mean that I was interested in you. I just want Mr. Mike to leave a woman like you as soon as possible.”

He sized Jessie up from head to toe with his cold gaze. He moved closer to her ear. The comers of his thin lips curled into a smile of contempt. “I had some accidents that night. Otherwise, I wouldn’t have been interested in a woman like you at all! Apart from that night, under the circumstances, I didn’t do anythingt o you, so you can imagine… How unattractive you are to men.”

“You’re shameless!” Jessie’s face turned pale and her slender body trembled. She raised her hand and gave him a hard slap on the face.
