Chapter 80
"I want to harvest all the nuts!" Charlie exclaimed as she hopped into a pickup truck.
“Unfortunately, Babe, nuts are seasonal. Some young pistachio trees have irregular cycles and are late for the regular harvest. We can pick them, but right now, the real harvest is only for macadamias," Taylor revealed.
"Oh," Charlie reacted. "But how come there was almond pie?"
"Many almonds and other nuts are still left in the storage building and at the shop. Naturally, we have a store for direct buyers within the farm," Taylor replied. "But don't worry, the process of harvesting the nuts is just all about the same. You'll get to see it."
Charlie and Taylor drove past thousands of almond trees before reaching the pistachio plantation. When they got off, Taylor explained, "Nut trees grow in different soil conditions, so dividing the plantation into zones is crucial. Almonds and pistachios need dryer land; hence, they are put next to each other."
"I'm learning," Charlie noted.
"Good, because you are going to have to do your part of the family business," he paused, putting an arm around her. "One day."
Although her face burned, Charlie laughed. She said, "I could say the same thing
for you."
"Construction? Babe, I'm a civil engineer. I was born to be part of your family," Taylor claimed.
"You are so confident!" Charlie grumbled.
"Yeah, well, that's what you love about me," Taylor teased, and Charlie could only frown because he was right! She really hated it when he was right!
"Wow!" Making it into the rows of young pistachio trees, Charlie's smile reached her ears. "This is so amazing!"
Charlie took several pictures, including the young fruits that were within her reach. "Which ones can I eat?"
"These will taste differently, though. They haven't been dried, but it's a good experience altogether." Taylor found a good set for Charlie, but it was a little higher than she could reach. "That one. Let me help you up."
"Pfft. How—Ah! Taylor!" Taylor suddenly hoisted her up as if she were feather- light.
"Climb up onto my shoulders. Go!" Taylor instructed.
Charlie found herself sitting on Taylor's shoulders, which allowed her to reach the fully grown pistachio fruit.
"Pick the ones that have already split open," Taylor instructed.
As Charlie reached for the pistachio fruit, she wobbled on Taylor's shoulder. Just
as she held an entire stem full of nuts, she fell off balance. "Ahh!"
Taylor had to improvise. He shifted his stance, making her fall forward instead. He caught her, and Charlie had no doubt he would. However she automatically wrapped all her limbs around him, her chest pressed tightly against his face!
"Phew, that was close," Charlie muttered.
"It's very close indeed," Taylor said in a teasing tone.
When Charlie tooked down at the scene, she was mortified! She was literally pressing her breasts against Taylor's face. She could feel the
warmth of his breath against her
skin, the slight tension in his.ne
shoulders as he held her steady.
"I'm - I'm sorry!" Charlie stuttered, getting off him quickly.
Her face was red as she fixed her clothes. She turned around, holding a stem of pistachios, and ignored what had just happened.
Taylor, on the other hand, refused to let it go. He said, "Babe, if you wanted me to eat your breasts, we can do it later."
"That was not my intention!" Charlie snapped.
"So, you don't ever want me to eat your breasts?" Taylor asked, smirking.
"Yo - Ah -" Charlie gulped, motioning to him. Then she returned to walking back to the pickup truck. "Macadamia! Now!"
"Your breasts are really soft. They were bigger than I had remembered," Taylor described, following behind her.
"Stop it. Others could hear us," Charlie scolded.
"By others, you mean the trees. By the way, I'm totally turned on right now," Taylor said while following behind her. "You have to take responsibility for that."
Her Inner Devil rolled her eyes: 'I'll believe it when it happens.'noveldrama
Over at the macadamia plantation, Charlie observed how the nuts were collected.
What do you think?
