The Billionaire's Forbidden Longing

Chapter 264 Meeting Xavier

Alexander gave a nod, feeling pretty good about their plan. They'd been working on this for years. He quickly called Vernon to give him the lowdown.

Vernon didn't waste any time. "They must be after the treasure. Looks like they already know about it. With all that planning, their influence in Skycrest is huge. Mr. Carter, you gotta be careful!"

Alexander knew the risks. By the time Allison got back from the hospital, he was fuming. "Vernon, keep tabs on them. I'll be careful and make sure to take down their whole operation!"

Allison had passed out from heart palpitations. When she came to, she insisted on heading back to Skycrest. Before leaving, she found Jessa. "Jessa, can you have Kismet and Elsa stay at The Old Wells Manor for a bit? I've asked Ryan to stay and keep you all safe."

Jessa's face showed she knew something was up, but she agreed. "Don't worry, I'll take good care of Kismet and Elsa. I can stay here for at least another two weeks."

Allison's voice shook with emotion. "Jessa, Kismet is my family, the person I'm most grateful for in my life. I don't want her to be upset."

Jessa reassured her, "Don't worry, Allison. As long as I'm here, no one will make Kismet unhappy. Take care of yourself. You're the most important person to Alexander. You can't let anything happen to you!"

Allison nodded, taking in Jessa's words. "Jessa, I'll be fine."

After hanging up, Allison sat quietly for a long time. Alexander, seeing how upset she was, pulled her onto his lap. "I'm here. Don't be scared."

Allison responded, but she was still uneasy. "I need to see him."

Xavier had been taken to the hospital after a failed suicide attempt. As soon as Allison got back to Skycrest, she went straight to the hospital. Henry was there and rushed over when he saw her.

Henry asked, "Weren't you in Suncrest City? How did you..."

Allison cut him off. "Give me one of those Miracle Drugs!"

Henry stepped back, surprised. "Allison, there are only two Miracle Drugs. Joe said no

one can have them. They're for saving important lives!"

Allison glared at him. "I'll give you ten in return for one. Deal?"

Henry's eyes darted around. Seeing Alexander walk in, he gave in. "Fine. I can see you're a big spender. Whoever marries you is doomed!"

Allison smiled and hugged Henry. "Get me the medicine. I can't get it without you."

With the drug in hand, Allison went to Xavier's room. He had a head injury, and though the surgery saved his life, he was still in bad shape.

Cops were guarding the room since Xavier was a high-profile criminal. No one was allowed near him.

After Alexander talked to the authorities, Allison was let in. She dissolved the Miracle Drug in water and gave it to Xavier.

The drug worked like magic. Within five minutes, Xavier, who had been out cold, opened his eyes. Alexander was floored. He always thought Allison's pills were good, but this was next level.

Xavier's voice was weak, and when he saw Allison, he got all emotional, tears streaming down his face. Allison watched him for a bit before taking off his oxygen mask. "Got something to say to me?"

Xavier croaked out, "Ms. Bennett, I'm sorry."

Allison sneered. "I don't want your apology, Xavier. I want to know why. This whole mess started when Kismet married your dad, right?"

Allison didn't know all the details from back then, but she knew that when Kismet got married, the Bishop family was in bad shape. Xavier's dad, Max Ellis, was a factory worker in his forties who had never married. Kismet was holding the Bishop family together, with Valencia sick and no money for medicine. Someone introduced her to Max.

Max died in his sixties, leaving Kismet to raise three kids and take care of Valencia. She worked her butt off, only to be betrayed by Max. The thought made Allison furious.

Xavier said, "Ms. Bennett, my father wasn't from Novaria. He was from the Faith family in Eldoria. On his deathbed, he told me to find the Faith family. I did."

Xavier had just come of age and hoped that finding Max's family would help them. But when he made contact, he discovered it was all a scheme.

"You found out that your seemingly humble and polite father had another family living in wealth while you lived in poverty." Allison picked up a cup and moistened Xavier's lips with a cotton swab.

Xavier said, "Ms. Bennett, I regret it."

Allison put the cup down and looked at Xavier. "Do you regret finding your relatives or gambling, which led to your downfall?"noveldrama

Xavier loved collecting paintings but lacked discernment, often buying fakes. Allison knew this and had secretly dealt with those who scammed him. But she never imagined Xavier also gambled, leading to his three-billion-dollar debt. When Allison saw the evidence, she was incredulous.

Watching Xavier cry, Allison felt no sympathy. "Xavier, you watched me grow up. You know my temper. If you're good to me, I'll be even better to you. But if you betray me, I'll repay you in kind. If it were just money, I wouldn't argue. But you leaked secrets and committed treason. I can't save you from that."

Xavier cried, knowing what awaited him. That's why he tried to off himself; he knew he wouldn't survive the investigation.

Allison said, "I just need a name. Your contact in Eldoria. Give me the name!" Xavier's hand trembled as he reached for Allison. She hesitated but took his hand.

Feeling the warmth of her hand, Xavier looked at her and slowly said, "Pamela Faith. A woman with a mysterious identity. She's not someone you can easily defeat. Allison, they want the treasure... Don't give it to them. And don't tell Kismet what I've done. I can't face her in this life."
