The Divorced Heiress’s Revenge

Chapter 2433

Chapter 2433

"You can't understand what I'm saying, can you? Then those ears of yours are pretty useless. After all, you're already a cripple. Adding deafness to your list of disabilities shouldn't bother you much."

At this moment, Drew wanted nothing more than to put a bullet into Grant's skull.

However, he had promised Justin that he would never take another life. It was a promise that had to be kept.

"I'll definitely save my wife. But if I can't, you'll lose more than an ear next time."

Drew yanked Grant's hair, his eyes red and watery. His voice shook as he spoke each word." The pain Yvonne has endured... I'll repay it a thousandfold, ten thousandfold."

With that, he tossed Grant aside and stormed off with his coat billowing behind him.

"Sir! I'll get someone to take you to the hospital right away!" Clarice crawled to Grant's feet, trembling as she looked at the pool of blood. She fumbled for her phone but could not keep her hands steady.

"Ha... Hahaha!" Grant grabbed the bloody piece of his ear, tilting his head back as he let out a wild, unhinged laugh. "Interesting... This is simply too interesting!"

Clarice froze, her face pale and shaking like a scared bird. "Sir... What about Yvonne? Should we...?"

"Don't let her die. But don't let her live well either."

Grant tossed the bloody piece aside and closed his eyes, reveling in the twisted pleasure that came with extreme pain.

"You're a woman too. Surely you have plenty of experience making another woman suffer."

As soon as Drew exited the club, a group of thugs summoned by Clarice surrounded him.

In the midst of a fierce scuffle, a sleek black sports car came out of nowhere, mowing down several of the assailants.

The piercing screech of brakes cut through the night as the car door flung open in front of Drew.

"Get in!" Justin's chiseled features stood out sharply in the dark, radiating an unwavering presence.

Drew leaped into the car without hesitation, and the sports car sped off, leaving the thugs behind.

"I didn't need your help, President Salvador. I could've dealt with those scumbags on my own."

Drew lit a cigarette, his fingers shaking. He took a deep drag before rolling down the window to let the cold breeze hit his pale, weathered face.

"I'm no longer the president," Justin replied, his grip on the steering wheel firm. "I came as an old friend to lend a hand. I warned you not to provoke Grant. Why didn't you listen?"

"Justin, do you think I can just sit still? My wife is in his hands... I know she's with him, but I don't have the evidence to get her back..."

Drew hacked and coughed, unsure if it was from the cigarette or the freezing air.

Tears filled his eyes as he forced out the words, "Justin, I was this close to killing that bastard. But I know if I did, Yvonne would never make it either. I've never felt so helpless... Tell me, what should I do?"

Justin stayed silent for a long time, deep in his thoughts.

He caught the faint sound of Drew's sobs. His cries were muffled by the cold night wind, scattered into the void.

'Drew, trust me. I'll make it happen.' Justin made a solemn promise to himself.

Right then, his phone started ringing. It was Ian on the line.noveldrama

"Mr. Salvador, that was a close call! Just as you suspected, someone attempted to make a move on Dr. Wagner. Fortunately, Chairman Hoffman had stationed guards around Dr. Wagner's house, so the assassins didn't succeed. Too bad they got away, or we could've gotten some intel out of them!"

Justin spoke in a calm, unwavering tone. "The press conference is just days away. Grant will stop at nothing to eliminate threats. Dr. Wagner has already handed over evidence against me to the police, so he's no longer of any use to my so-called 'kind and benevolent' elder brother."

Ian snorted coldly. "Dr. Wagner sure is singing your praises now! He's practically begging with tears streaming down his face. He promised to do anything to make it up to you." "Have all the surveillance cameras around Yvonne's last known location been checked?"

"We've gone through everything, but the car she was in vanished after heading toward the Waverly East District."

Ian's tone grew grim. "However, while combing through the footage, I stumbled upon something interesting a rather unexpected scene."

"What did you find?"

"I saw that on the night Yvonne went missing, Jace intercepted Clarice's car. They got into a confrontation, and Jace ended up beating the crap out of her! Honestly, it was satisfying to watch!"
