The Forgotten Titan's Resurgence

Chapter 19

"I'll go!"

It seemed to have taken every bit of Elara's strength to get those words out. She felt weak and wobbly on her feet, as if she could fall at any minute.

"How wise of you, Ms. Seymour," Shawn remarked with a grin. "Excellent. Come with me, please."noveldrama

"Ella!"

Arnold and Marion were extremely agitated. They wanted to rush up to Elara and pull her back, but the men stopped them. All they could do was watch as Elara got into the car.

Overwhelmed by his anger and sorrow, Arnold spat out the blood and fainted.

Marion was so terrified that she didn't know what to do. Too beside herself to even call 911, she simply clutched Arnold and sobbed.

"Dad! Mom!"

At some point, Gideon came back and was shocked by this sight. He quickly checked on Arnold and used some medical techniques to stabilize his condition.

Slowly, Arnold regained consciousness, coughing as he did

"Arnie!" Marion was overjoyed. "You're finally awake. You scared me half to death!"

"Ella..."

Arnold had a dead look in his eyes. He kept murmuring Elara's name, crying as he did.

Frowning, Gideon asked, "Mom, what happened?"

"Get out of the way! You can't be of any help, even if I tell you!" Marion snapped.

Furious, Gideon growled, "How do you know I can't help if you don't even tell me what it is?",

Startled, Marion retorted, "Why are you raising your voice at me? If you think you're so capable, you can go and rescue Ella! Mr. Duran's men took her away to force her to drink with Mr. Duran.

"My poor daughter... Why do you have such a tough life? First, you had to marry a loser, and now, you're being forced..."

Mr. Duran?

Gideon didn't know who that was.

He couldn't stand seeing how defeated Arnold looked. Even though Elara treated him poorly, Arnold cared a lot about him and looked out for him. It was only right for him to get involved.

"Mom, Dad, wait for my news," Gideon said before leaving the house and giving Leopold a call.

"Yes, sir?"

"I want to know who Mr. Duran is. His men came to my house and abducted my wife,"

"What? A thing like that happened?" Leopold exclaimed.

After giving it some thought, Leopold replied, "The only M. Duran who would do such a reckless and arrogant

thing is Nino Duran, a criminal underworld boss."

"Find out where he is! I'll give you ten-no, three minutes to give me his exact location."

"I'm on it!" Leopold replied. He was sweating profusely. Without wasting a single second, he instructed his men to locate Nino.

This was a huge matter, and at the same time, he was exhilarated.

"Oh, Nino! You and I are rivals, and all along, I've been racking my brain trying to think of a way to deal with you. Well, you've just dug your own grave. You had the audacity to abduct Mr. Snow's wife! You're dead meat tonight."

Meanwhile, over at Monarchy Club in Goldspire's city center, Shawn opened the door to Haven Room 1 and signaled for Elara to head inside.

A few women were wriggling around sexily on the dance floor, and the room was filled with a hedonistic air.

Shawn headed over to the couch and said to Nino, the bald middle-aged man, "She's here, boss.

Chewing on a cigar, Nino looked over and smirked. "You're Elara Seymour, huh? You're quite the looker. No wonder Mr. Horne asked for you."

"Mr. Horne?" Elara repeated in puzzlement. "Who is that? I don't know him."

Just then, a plump young man stepped out of the bedroom attached to the lounge and grinned, saying, “It hasn't been that long, Elara. Have you forgotten me already?"

Elara's eyes widened. "Tom Horne? It's you?"
