The Fortune-Telling Heiress

Chapter 346

Madison's gaze was still stuck on the screen because what had happened earlier filled the entire jewelry store with screams. All that could be heard from the background was panicked screams.

When the criminal lifted his machete again, he suddenly fell to the ground.

"The police are here!"

"It's the police! They shot him!"

"Are the doctor and kid fine?"

Madison helped Harvey up and said, "Don't worry, Ms. Wynn is fine."

Harvey sighed deeply. The moment he let go of Madison's arm, he fell and then sat on the ground. His expensive suit got dirty, but he didn't care. It took him a while before he slowly regained his composure and stood up.

His pale face also recovered its color a little. Harvey said, "Maddie, I can't drop you off now. I have to go to the hospital."

"Okay, I'll head over with you."

Madison could predict that Serena had survived the incident, but she couldn't tell if Serena's injuries were bad.

When they reached the hospital, they asked the staff where Serena's ward was. Harvey ran over immediately, and with a loud bang, he flung the door open. Serena's arm was being bandaged. Her head was already bandaged, but the crimson-red blood had leaked through the bandage. It looked rather terrifying. "Harvey!"

"Serena!" Harvey called out as he dashed toward the hospital bed. He quickly scanned her before he suppressed his anger and demanded, "Why did you leave the store? You knew that you'd be in danger if you left, so why did you do that?" Serena was rightfully scolded, so she kept her mouth shut. She just listened to every word Harvey said.

"Didn't Maddie make things clear? She told you not to leave. Do you not care about your own life? Do you also not care about the baby in your womb? You probably even-don't care about me too, right? Have you ever thought about how I'd feel if you had died? "Serena Wynn, are you trying to scare me to death?"

Harvey had always been graceful. Even when he was going against the other members of the Locke family, he still managed to behave in a sophisticated way. Yet at that moment, he acted as though he were a helpless kid.

The only thing he could do was use his words to vent his feelings. He simply couldn't find another way to calm the fear in his heart.

Serena gently reached out and held Harvey's hand.

Harvey instantly stopped scolding her. His dark brown eyes were focused on Serena, and they were bloodshot. He quickly turned around and looked in the other direction.

Serena tugged at his hand and said, "Harvey, do you... want to greet my parents?"

Harvey couldn't speak

He suddenly turned around. That was when he saw the other side of the hospital bed. Serena's parents had been stunned into silence.

Harvey immediately calmed his elevated emotions. He straightened his clothes and faced Serena's parents before saying, "Hello, Mr. and Mrs. Wynn. I'm Harvey Locke, Serena's boyfriend. Sorry about my poor behavior earlier." Serena's mother, Athena Holmes, snapped out of her shock. She smiled and replied, "Harvey, right? It's good to meet you."

Serena's father, Jeremy, wasn't as nice as Athena, but he was still polite to Jeremy.

Serena introduced her parents to Madison after that. She said, "Mom, this is the person I was telling you guys about. She's Harvey's younger sister, Madison. If it hadn't been for her, I might already be dead."

When Athena and Jeremy heard that, they immediately rushed to Madison. They each held one of Madison's hands and said, "Thank you. Thank you."

"If it hadn't been for you, my daughter might have..." said Athena. "I know you. You're a famous cultivator online. Who would've thought that we'd be lucky enough to meet you?"

Serena tugged at Harvey and had him sit in the chair. She whispered, "I think my parents like Maddie more."noveldrama

It seemed that compared to their future son-in-law, Madison was still the more popular one. Harvey used both hands to hold Serena's hand. He kissed it gently and said, "I'm thankful for Maddie as well."
